So sorry about your child's diagnosis, prayers for a total eradication. I'm amazed you were able to focus on submitting a proposal, but glad the contract was awarded to you.
What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?4 -

Very sorry to read this news. Such a shock for you and your family. It’s good it has been caught early.
Well done on continuing to function and arranging on going work too.

thanks everyone for the support and good wishes. Well another week gone and another pound added to my weight. Productivity has been low and i nearly forgot to attend a teams meeting on Wednesday but was only 2 mins late. Acquired anew small job that DH has worked on this weekend but got a rejection note from a tender I submitted. I’ve asked for feedback.
this upcoming week is a heavy one with prep that remains undone, required. I’m trying to break things into babysteps but I find that this can lead to chaos in some areas though I hope this is temporary. Yesterday I restructured the contents of some book shelves. This has resulted in a book that has been resident on the kitchen table dumping ground for a few months, being allocated a space, first stage of a hard copy photo sort out has also been achieved. Second stage should be done following the March scheduled surgery as it should be a fairly enjoyable task that I can delegate. I sprayed and packed away 5 large scarf / throws yesterday finding a use for a box and also started working through tester size toiletries by using a sachet of hand cream and putting a small soap into use.
we went to see the play on Thursday which both of us found enjoyable. Having read the book, I was impressed by the adaptation.Today I need to make inroads somewhere. Today I am grateful for

also, I’ve been inspired by a friend who did a twenty minute a day kitchen dance for the month of February. She did it as a fundraiser whereas I’m going to attempt it as a way of building exercise into my life and because music and dance can lift my mood. Today I’m aiming to do this in segments. Who knows, if I stick with it for a month I may drop out of the travelling two pounds zone.

I like the idea of the kitchen dance!

I imagine the next few weeks will continue to be heavy, so celebrate what you get done. When there's a loved one to be concerned about, everything else takes more doing, if you see what I mean. So lists are your friend, especially lists of what you have achieved. You can come and tidy my table/dumping ground if you want a break from yours. 😊
Victories so far are small, real and worthwhile (so long as you don't get side tracked into reading the contents of the bookshelves). Keep up the good work! The dancing is a lovely idea - though you may end up with muscle weight as it tones you up, so see what the tape measure tells you. How long do you have to dance for?
Fantastic news that someone is nearly at the point of returning to work. That's so encouraging.
