Happy Easter! Lovely to hear Ernie has remembered you, and the travelling pounds are going it the right direction. The temporary ones were obviously just visiting.
Great to have a holiday to look forward to, as well.
Sorry to hear about the ex's behaviour. I hope your DD can shake it off and know it's his problem.
And cream egg for breakfast - now you're talking!

beanie, I sometimes get as low as 11st 12 but then stall or float back up. I’d really love to break 11st 7 but obviously not enough to do something about it.
Yesterday I got my expenses paid to myself and reconciled the few outstanding transactions for the tax year. I also wished the young relative who has had major illness and surgery a happy birthday. Just six months ago, it was questionable if she’d have another birthday so there’s a huge sigh of relief all round. It’s one less milestone to be achieved. We had our Easter meal in the dining room- the room wasn’t perfect but tables were clear, a few boxes remain to be sorted but progress is continuing bit by bit. Also dh put some appropriate things into the roofspace and brought down 3 original boxes for items to be sold. These were linked to things I like but in a different category. I’ve given them space for more than 10 years and now it’s time for them to go.
I also decluttered three small drawers in the hall unit as I’ve found an appropriate charity for these items. This meant that I could empty a large shoe box into the space created so there’s another box to go - yay!Today I am doing catch up work with dinner coming from yesterday’s leftovers. Today I am grateful for
3 siblings being closer than ever as a byproduct of illness

How lovely to be able to celebrate that birthday!
And you seem to be doing awe-inspiring work on the decluttering. I will try to emulate you, though the results may be smaller as I hit a wall with it quite often. Decision making is tiring.

cherry, I think the reason that I can declutter is down to the amount of stuff still to go. Yesterday however there was a bit of a breakthrough as dh started with the man cave / office. Unfortunately even though things have been marked to go, his habit of just throwing additional things onto shelves means that no additional shelf space has been freed up but dust has successfully been dislodged.
On other news, mil called yesterday evening to tell dh that fil was hospitalised on Saturday but is now home. She also managed to mention how she had already FaceTimed overseas offspring before picking up the phone to dh. They only bother with him when something is needed and then it’s needed yesterday. It really irritates me. Also, when dh is over there, he never gets to speak to fil without mil being present so he only hears how things are through her filter. She always says that she’s struggling to cope but refuses to get anyone in to help. It’s infuriating.
Anyhow, we also had a visit from a friend and her grand pups. Too adorable for words.
You may notice an absence of work related comments, that could be because it corresponds to the amount of work done so now I need to get things underway.
Today I am grateful for

yesterday dh finally saw sense and flights are booked for him to go see exactly what is happening with his father. He was concerned about the cost of the flights but I found a more economical option when taking account of travel to and from the airport. He was also worried that I’d be left alone all weekend as dd is away with work. Seriously? I think I can manage to occupy myself for two nights (provided casualty is back).
Yesterday there was little work progress but I did get my car insurance in place from 19th at £600 less than original quote, with breakdown cover and for less than it cost last year. I have also created a to do list to be tackled today so I’m about to start with that.Today I am grateful for

It must be infuriating for you, watching the manoeuvres of your in-laws from a distance. At least once your husband has visited, he will be able to make his own judgement. I hope he has a couple of opportunities to talk to his father without interference.
That's a real win over the car insurance, good work!
Thanks for the reminder over paying off the CC, I need to do mine (heading straight over before I can forget again).
