I am officially declaring myself to be a muppet. Each month I’m excited for the pb draw to the extent that I go on a day early to see the location of the higher value wins. Today I discovered the sort by region function!

I like to have a browse of the winning list sometimes as well, in the hope that one day it will be me!

mr wii has confirmed that the travelling 2lbs have travelled on. Yay. I’ve also had a bit of a lbm that is long overdue. It’s about taking responsibility for what I want to happen. It has really annoyed me that others here, primarily dh, can ignore what needs done for the house, commissioning work, etc and that eventually when I need help with something, it’s like I’m asking a personal favour. I’ve reached the conclusion that if it matters to me, I should just get on and deal with it involving others as and when.
to this end, I am working on some short and long term financial goals and will then turn my attention to outstanding work on the house. I will need to talk to dc on the longer term goal and will be with both of them on 23rd May so a more defined plan should emerge after this.
On other news, Ernie gifted each of us £100 this month. No vinted sales have been made but yesterday we got a £4 tgtg from a bakery I would occasionally shop from. The haul was worth in or around £20. It included4 large pancakes, 1 plain, 1 bacon, 1 apple and 1 honeycomb
2 fruit soda
2 plain sodas
I treacle farl
A Guinness loaf
A crusty
A large Belfast bap
2 small baps
2 finger rolls
3 scones
A Chelsea bun.
I was impressed. The sodas are big so will do a breakfast for dinner meal easily.
Today, I am starting small by aiming to get a tea service cleaned, it came from my mum’s house and is silver plate and is absolutely filthy. Due to gifting something earlier in the week, I have identified the perfect place for it. It’s one of those things that I don’t particularly want but couldn’t see going to a charity shop as my adopted aunt (mum’s lifelong friend) bought it for my parents’ silver wedding anniversary. This should help address another space too.
Right, if things are down to me, I need to get going.
Today I am grateful for
Cheap but fresh breakfast breads
Ernie’s generosity
Hopefully a mindset reset

Nice haul from TGTG.
I have to get on with stuff if I want anything done too. It sometimes leads to others getting involved.

Well done on taking control. I’m hopeless if Dh is in the house. I get much more done when left to my own devices 🤣

Great haul from TGTG. My mouth is watering.

Toothpaste, even off-brands, are good for cleaning silver. Just rub on, wipe off. Rinse lightly and dry.

that’s one I hadn’t heard before, thank you Nancy. Today I’m trying something new as part of my reset. After I drop dh to work, I’m heading to the sparks shop to cash in a free hot drink voucher and to try working from there for an hour or two. I’m also keen to try out the new sparks rewards system and will do so making use of a green redeem £5 voucher.
Today I am grateful for

Hope your experiment went well

it went ok thanks. I messed up a bit by stopping off in shops first so before too long was spent in the cafe, lunch timers were arriving looking for tables. Today I’m up a pound and likely to maintain or increase that over the next week. Today is dh’s birthday so we are heading off on a dbb break shortly. The place we are staying does amazing food so we will probably go to town on both dinner and the cooked to order breakfast.
yesterday we ate late as we went to see the iron maiden film at six. I was pleasantly surprised by it, more watchable than I expected.
Today I need to get some not quite dry laundry out before we head off. Fingers crossed dd will remember to bring it in.today I am grateful for
