    Hi everyone,

I'm getting quite good at updos (thank you you tube) - perfect when I need to run out of the house with wet hair - a few plaits and it looks like I meant to do it that way.

Also used a coupon and a discount card today (work's scheme) so £70 of groceries at T's will cost £57.60. :T

No takeaway last night :T We were really clutching at straws but I managed to make us big bowls of hearty soup with cheese and ham toasties... Can't wait to get back to cooking in the kitchen...

Need to start getting things sorted for w/e away... washing etc...

    Catch up soon!

He was lucky this time, it was only the two lower leaves and I'm on to them now :rotfl:

On the very first day out I picked one off of the rim of the pot, I'm amazed that these two were under the pot as it has been empty for a while and it's been inside the storm lantern. I did find a couple under a rose in a pot which is quite close by but how the hell did they find him!

DNMS thank you for starting this weeks thread.

We had a lovely weekend. We meet up friends on Saturday and went for brunch to celebrate one of their birthdays, as the day was so lovely and warm we went back to theirs to sit around the garden whilst the children played. We arrived home about 5 and whilst OH baked with dd, I cut the grass, first cut of the year and the last cut was September so it was quiet hard going. Planning on giving it another cut later this week if we have a dry day at the end of the week.

Sunday was Sunny, warm and breezy, managed to line dry 3 loads :j I also did some weeding whilst out their. In the afternoon me and dd went to our free monthly meet where we do crafts, meet up with friends, I enjoy an coffee whilst dd enjoys the soft play.

Yesterday we paid off the car loan :j used some of the money my parents passed to me a few weeks ago to clear it. We have saved over £140 in interest. OH has cancelled dd for loan repayments and set up a regular payment for the same amount to our savings account. We have yet to decide how we are going to use the remainder of the money. I also paid the window cleaner.

Today cold and over cast but breezy, still put the washing out and it has dried. Today dd has decide to wear her swimming costume, occasionally she is also wearing goggles, her dressing gown, waterproof trousers, armbands on her arms and another set on her calves :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: I have know idea why, it's not like we have a pool or anything.

    Today's list:
    Open curtains fully Done
Close curtains before it gets dark
Turn off lights and appliances not in use on going
    NSD Done
    Stick to meal plan Done
    Renew library book Done
Plan present for dd to take to party soon Even better OH was in a charity shop near his work and they were selling end of runs donated from a local company, spent half of budget on perfect present :j
    FPL, Ashleigh etc Done
    Educated children for free Done
Entertained us for free, I'm particularly enjoying a book my parents passed to me Done

    - Wondering why my Ebayer hasn't responded to my sale (they were winning bidder but not heard a jot since). I've emailed but what else can I do?

Hi Twins, how long has it been since the item sold / you emailed? If more than 2 days, send a final email to let them know that if you haven't heard from them in 2 more days (provide a date) you will raise a non payment case with ebay. If you don't do anything, you will still get charged fees on the sale AND the postage :(

    Hi all

Been a good day. Took DS1 for his hospital treatment and took my own lunch which I ate in the waiting room reading my book. Much better than buying from the hospital canteen.

Then called at a big household store to buy some tupperware boxes and ziploc bags. I want to reorganise my freezer and do some batch cooking at the weekend as DS is changing to summer hours at work and DH is really busy so I need to rethink meals. Actually not sure how moneysaving this will be but we are going to give it a trial run.

Heating on for a little while as its been really cold here.

Just waiting for DH to go and collect DS2 and gf. I have been a bit on edge all night as I have a sneaking suspicion that DS2 and gf have not been where they were supposed to be tonight and may have been drinking. I have agreed that the girlfriend can stay here if there is no noise as we both have work tomorrow. I may regret this as I could end up with two tipsy 16 year olds. Ah well I have coped with worse!

I overspent by £3 tonight on the YS run as they'd done it early, I still managed to get YS sandwiches for us all tomorrow (goat's cheese and fig  ) but I was really craving fruit (I arrived just in time to see someone else snaffle a pack of YS strawberries) that I paid full price for a pack plus we were out of butter and I bought the expensive spreadable one.

I still cooked the pasta dish for the teens but wasn't hungry so just had the strawberries.

DSGF has rescued a baby bird, it had been turfed out of the nest (sounds like cuckoos) and she returned it and they did it again. It has feathers but can't fly yet. She has spent the afternoon digging up worms to feed it and I have just grated a fat ball for the night. I won't be surprised if it dies but people do hand rear birds so I have my fingers crossed x

La E, I remember when we re did our kitchen last summer we ended up eating some weird combinations! Is it going to take long to finish?

It's pretty usable now 1LL :T The oven and hob are working at least. It's just that it's still so dusty that it's just not nice to prep food in there. We did stir fry tonight (£7 meal deal thingy from M&S). That was about as much prep as I can imagine. Definitely don't fancy chopping/prepping fresh veg in there just yet... We'll start the cupboard doors and shelves/interiors done this week, but we're away at the weekend so it won't be until the following weekend that we get all the skirtings etc finished... Then it's onto tiling and painting. :)

Man I really don't want to go to work today! Eurgh! Going to have to pull myself into gear. I've recovered from my mammoth allotment sessions at the weekend and would much rather be going there than to work :( I'm thinking if I get myself together to leave by 7.45 I can miss lunch and fairly leave at 3 as I worked over an hour extra last week.... Must take clothes and wellies with me

Lunch is already done so no hassle there :) lovely tabuleh with salad and humus mmmmm need to take fruit and nuts for snacks. mil is having madam so £35 saving (not that I could have got childcare this week!)

need to check meal plan and get something out - Dawn I have no particular reason to be going vegan just that I like the food. Am still cooking meat for oh and madam. Realised I will struggle to cut out chocolate so thinking I will probably be vegetarian with a mainly vegan diet. I've always loved veg and vegan food and have always said I can't do it because of living with meat eaters but then thought blow it why shouldn't I??!

could do with doing some washing but have left it too late now....

dishwasher on now. Must do some flying later

can I squeeze in a nsd? maybe...

water any seedlings that need it. Checked greenhouse and dwarf french beans are coming through

    read the newsletter

ok that'll do better start getting ready. I'm so belligerent about work now I work pt!

    Morning everyone
Didn't get as much done as I wanted to yesterday. Did a big drive round for kitty last night, I'm lucky to find a cat in the neighbourhood never mind our missing one. Apart from putting some more posters up, all we can do now is sit tight and see if she does come home. Feel like I'm giving up on her, but we've been out early mornings-5.30am:eek: and later at night looking for her but nothing.

    This morning
Banking checked as usual, few bits to pay and money all ready for the next direct debit going out:j.
    Dishwasher ready to go on
Washing to go out-cold but dry yesterday and today, have had the heating kick in, at one point I was freezing yesterday
Going to sort cat cleaning out in a minute. Really gave it a good clean yesterday along with mopping the kitchen floor(I do like getting up to a clean kitchen floor, something so satisfying, even if the rest of the house is a mess:rotfl::rotfl:)
Have to go to a meeting this morning, don't really want to go but it will whizz by, these ones usually do.
Also need to go into town to do a few bits.
Have decided that having DD come out with me is fatal, I just end up doing little bitty shops that end up costing money I hadn't planned on spending. Must leave DD at home to revise when I do go shopping or just sneak out:rotfl::rotfl:
Will be tight but I am determined to come in under my grocery challenge.....more eating out of fridge/freezer especially to use up the fresh vegetables I have.

    Have good day everyone x
