Hi everyone
Well my time off work went by in a whirlwind... New kitchen got delivered and OH and his dad have been fitting it. MSEness in action
It's awesome! OH worried me this afternoon when he called and said the worktop had been cut too short. It has, but only by about 1 or 2mm that the untrained eye wouldn't notice - I wouldn't have noticed had he not told me. It would be better with a bit of overhang at the end (maybe 2 or 3cm longer) but not to worry... I'm happy to live with it. When we are a) debt free and b) living in our forever home I will be happy to get bespoke worktops but I'm just so very grateful that we could fit this one ourselves so hey ho, not to worry-o...
I need to go and update YNAB - we've been spending a lot on take away and feeding the inlaws so will hopefully find a way to get it all to balance...
I need to go and pick up OH at 9.30 - bit of a pain but saving us another car...
I'll be able to think clearer tomorrow - post then...0 -

I didn't get round to doing any planting tonight as I'm too tired but I did put the washing in.
The teens were out when I got home so I didn't bother cooking dinner, I just did the YS trip and bought us a fine selection of sandwiches instead (and YS cream cakes for them, I had the last of the frozen raspberries.) Even with a fresh loaf of bread and an extra sandwich for the fox it was still less than £3 :T
I've had another eBay sale for £5, I was hoping it'd go for more but it's a furniture item that I just want out of the way so I'd probably have paid them a fiver to take it away :rotfl:
Hope you're all enjoying your evening

Morning guys - jeeps it's a bit cold today! I went to bed for a nap at 7 yesterday and slept through!
I don't have any gardening goals today but will pop to the lottie for an hour in a bit, might do a bit of digging, dig up any marestail showing it's ugly head and have a shifty round my shed - tis full of things and want to see if there are things to make a fruit or brassica cage - I suspect there is!
Going out to a massive park with bff's dm and my godson this afternoon. will take drinks and snacks. BFF has invited me & madam for dinner but I have just yesterday decided to become vegan so will have to decline. Might take something with me to eat and madam can eat there so I get to spend some time with bff....
Want to make some wraps and falafels this morning. Will also make the cakes and cheese straws with madam (did rice crispy cakes yesterday)
flylady
basics porridge for brekkie made with water and adding 1/2 a banana left over from madam's snack yesterday
pot up living pot of parsley bought yesterday the herb that keeps giving
depending on time/madam's mood might walk down to the library
That's all I think. Madam is being quite demanding at the moment so it's exhausting and I don't get a lot of time for much else!DF as at 30/12/16

Morning all

Nice sunny day again, but a bit chilly. GD1 and I are going to visit a local country / animal park I haven't been to before, with DD2 and GD4 (confusing, isn't it?). According to DD, they have a nice and inexpensive cafe, so I will treat everyone to lunch
Other things:
Walk both dogs Done
Make burgers for dinner - will need to pop over to the corner shop for rolls, but have salad and potato wedges to go with them
Done, a great success, rhubarb crumble left over from yesterday and ice cream to follow
Racking my brains to think of fussy-teen friendly things to eat as I have 14 year old GD1 staying - last night's toad in the hole was very popular, and I suspect burgers will be too, so I have taken nice lean mince out of the freezer
(Sorry DNMS just read that you have decided to become a vegan
). She is going to her older brother's tomorrow, so can do something more 'us' then
Type up business stuff if I get a minute, then I can put it all away, and it won't be all over the floor
No, it is still there
Seeds to sow Smallest GD wanted to plant seeds, so we did the French beans
Water whatever needs it in the garden Still to do
Not managed else much today apart from:
painting the fir cones we collected at the country park place
playing with plastc sea creatures in a washing up bowl in the garden
playing with playdough
playing with plastic farm animals and a mini chest of drawers thing from my shop stock
Phew!
Will see how I get on with that, and come back later to update. Hope everyone has a good day

Gooooood Morning everyone. Sun is out here in London and it looks like its going to be a nice day....lets hope so!
Yesterday I did manage to get to Aldi so was pleased with that. Wow, the chicken and salmon are so much cheaper than Sainsbury's! I spent £47 in Aldi and also managed to get most of my vegetables in there along with a cheeky bottle of Rose wine
I was supposed to be working from home today but last minute change of plans mean I need to go into the office. However, I am super proud of myself because I've got all my lunch ingredients at home
Usually I would have stopped at the M&S on the way in and spent around £8 but not today...oh no... I've got a Quinoa rice micro pack in the cupboard. Going to top that with the hickory sliced chicken I bought in Aldi yesterday with a side of Avocado salad. Also, taking a water bottle (Change of plan, will not take water as water is available in the office so I'll fill up glass there which means I'll also walk more) and a Deliciously Ella energy bar from home so win win :T
As today is an office day I'll try and squeeze in:
- Checking banking later
- Checking one poll later tonight
- Wondering why my Ebayer hasn't responded to my sale (they were winning bidder but not heard a jot since). I've emailed but what else can I do?
- Turning my foundation bottle upside down to get the very last dregs of it out
- No washing machine today... poor machine is having a rest
- Lunch from home
- Dinner from fridge/cupboards
- Will try and move about more during lunch as I'll be sitting most of the day. I really want to purchase a FitBit Alta but they are fairly expensive... need to look out for a good deal
That's it wonderful money savers. Have a great day :j0 -
Morning all, I was up earlier than usual today and feel so much better for it, I might start trying to get to bed earlier as daylong gut hours are definitely more useful.
Two of Auby's leaves have been chewed by slugs, I found and dispatched the culprits on the base of the pot. I have put molusccide on the floor of the storm lantern in case there are any more lurking.
I need to drop an Hermes package off at lunchtime, I still need to locate the drop off point closest to work.
I'll put the recycling my out tonight while I remember, they don't come until Thursday it I forgot last time so it's dry full and I'm not taken my any chances!
Breakfast today is the other half of my sandwich from last night and I have leftover arbonain at work unless the fridge police have been round. I'm not sure about dinner, maybe the pasta I didn't cook last. Igbo.

Morning all you lovely people,
NSD yesterday was a bust, DNephew and I went to wspoon for brekki, then £shop, so £20 later....
We did start the Papier mache piggy bank, but he didn't like the glue being all over his hands so he stopped and went back to playing with his iPad  which consists of him watching utube watching videos of other people playing games
After I did my first layer I managed to half get him off the iPad to watch a film together.
I wouldn't mind him playing his iPad if he was actually playing on it, but hey ho!
NSD for me today, some serious housework today as back at work wed-fri and after 12 hours at work I come home, eat and sleep in that order.
Will do another layer of the piggy bank Papier mache and set out a uniform. Will also make some tuna pasta for lunches and try a NSD wed-fri also.
Hope you're all well.
L XxDebt peak approx £30,000  now debt free!!! :j
My parents always said "If you can't afford it cash, you can't afford it!" so true!.... mind you, turns out we can't afford much lol :rotfl:0 -
Hi, just popped in from the veggie plot for coffee. Today's bits of money saving activity:
*Paid grocery bill off CC (only used for voucher points).
*Freeze chicken stock I made yesterday while on rubber chicken duty.
*Rubber chicken to be used tonight for fajhitas.
*Make tomorrow's packed lunch.
*Laundry blowing dry for free outside.
*Sweet peas planted out (free seeds)
*Broad beans planted out & netted against baddies.
*Finished up last bit of a lipstick.....using a lipbrush to extract that last 3rd of the tube which usually gets thrown away.
*Watered all baby veggie plants.
*Reminded mr f to collect the free Thorntons Easter egg on O2 Priorities.
*Knit more of B-in-L's bday socks. Want to get all the foot shaping finished today.
I have lots of other garden jobs to do too, so that will be plenty.
Have a good day all.
FVD - sorry to hear that poor Auby has come under slithery attack overnight. Slugs & snails are his worst enemy. Last year was the 1st year I gave up on my aubergines as a snail ate the growing tip out of each plant & they never recovered.
