Front camera is very good, while the rear one is fair.
Of course, the rear one is only really needed in the event of a collision, and registration plates are easily read close up.0 -

I've got a Focus, and the sun visors comfortably clear the dash cam.
ETA: I've disabled the reversing camera function.0 -
mark1?
did have a look over the weekend and maybe its not centred on the mirror.0 -

You said both sun visors touch it.
Neither of my sun visors touch it.
On a different matter, does anyone know if there are updates (eg. firmware updates) available for it?0 -
Purchased the Co-pilot kit £36 from Tesco garage. None out on sale had to ask, they were in a cupboard behind the counter. one staff member said "What's a dash camera?"
Quick question, the ear camera has an extra red wire marked "not required", is this the wire used to go to reversing lights so when reverse engaged it becomes a reversing camera?Mr Generous - Landlord for more than 10 years. Generous? - Possibly but sarcastic more likely.0 -

That's exactly what it's for.
To use it, simply connect it to the live feed, going to the car's reversing light. The camera will detect the voltage when reverse is engaged, and the camera becomes a reversing camera, like this:-
Each to their own, but I prefer to do without the reversing camera, and trust my maneuvering skills. I found the reversing camera annoying.0 -

Having just bought one of these from your recommendation, I am impressed! However my first one just stopped working and now the replacement seems fine. But neither of them had the facility to deactivate after 10 seconds as you mentioned above or am I missing something in the menu to turn this feature on/off?0 -

Ah I see. Also after playing around with it I noticed that a simple touch of the on/off power button clears the screen and enables the unit to carry on recording.0 -
