does hard wiring a dash cam to the fuse box invalidate any warranty? (how much should one pay for installation)

I think that would depend on how you did it.

If you cut off the cigarette lighter plug, then probably yes, but if you bought an extra mini-USB cable, and used that, then probably not.

I can't really say. I installed mine myself.

Do you mean after using the reversing camera?

After reversing (in which the whole image becomes the rear camera image) then driving away, just a simple touch of the power button in effect hides the video image, and another touch brings the image on again.
  • Is your rear camera image mirrored, like mine?

If it's like any reversing camera I've seen then yes, it's the same as looking in the rear view mirror.
Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.
  • What about when you are driving forward?

Like most drivers I am used to reversing using a mirror image, if the camera displayed as a normal view I'd be backing into all sorts of obstacles.

BTW I got a 64gb micro sd for about £6.50 from ebay to record onto.

What about during normal driving? Is it recording correctly, or is it still mirrored?

Does the 64GB card work in the dash cam?
