  • Ally - thanks for setting up a mental health group. It's something I'm really interested in, both as someone with an anxiety disorder, but also a carer of someone with depression and anxiety. Always interested in finding out more, having somewhere/someone to talk to and knowing that it's not just me. Thank you.
Just home from my mam's house - shouldn't need to eat again today strictly speaking - she did home made burgers and chips which were absolutely heavenly. We still have loads of leftovers from yesterday as well that I need to box up and freeze. Shouldn't need to do any further batch cooking for a while as the freezer is chock a block. Also done a big shop that should last a while...
Most of the little fiddly jobs are done and I now just need to have a bath or shower, relax and get an early night. Easy.

Off to bed shortly as shattered, really hoping I can sleep as it's been a shocking week for insomnia.

Savvy Shopper! I've been Money Tipped!
    Hi all

Busy old day again but it's done and tonight feels like my Friday night!

    Small things for the day

    1. Was given some really useful groceries that weren't wanted at the end of the event. Saving £5.
    2. 2 hours of cycling today back and forth twice. No transport spends.
    3. Had leftovers from last night's event for dinner with just fresh rice.
    4. Got paid in cash for one event, which means I could leave the money for the window cleaner without withdrawing cash from the business account, which comes at a charge (just till my new card comes for the new fee free account)
    5. Found 8p roadkill
    6. We all went to the park between jobs. A lovely couple of hours playing with both the kids in the sunshine.
    7. Pay day tommorow so all receipts reconciled for the month.
    8. Spent some time sorting out what the school holidays are for the rest of the year to maximise OHs annual leave.
    9. Will hang the washing before we go up to make the most of the radiators in the morning. Last month they'll be on about to start, then back to £56 a month (from £95 these past 4 months)
    10. Ate some of the lovely snacks OHs parents sent us back with for our evening treat.

    Night.

  • Absolutely shattered. Just back from a weekend away-it was a Black Friday deal in a posh hotel that I booked as I needed to attend some events this weekend.
Filled up at breakfast so didn't need any lunch. Apart from paying for food last night and a £1 spent for a cuppa today, it has been a great money saving weekend.
Going to say night all as I can't keep my eyes open!!
