boo hoo feeling sorry for myself! Got an appointment and my tooth is dead and had to have emergency root canal (temporarily) and have to go back in 2 weeks when the infection has gone to have it done proper. I have a real fear of dentistry and a low pain threshold so was crying in the chair. My dentist is very good though and saw me through it. Now still in pain
even though I feel like to hell with everything I came home and had soup defrosted soup rather than reaching for more comforting food!DF as at 30/12/16

Could you have the work done under sedation DNMS?
I am returned from my leaving drinks having spent more than I intended, not on drinks as nobody would let me get my purse out, but because I opted to get a cab back to the station, I'm glad I did because I had about six minutes until my train left and would have had a half hour wait if I missed it.
I was given some Debenh@ms vouchers which was lovely so now I can do some guilt free shopping :T

Glad you had a good time FVD and :j to vouchers.
Up early as was awoken at 3:45 by a smallthey were asleep 5 minutes later. Unfortunately I haven't been able to go back to sleep. Today will mainly be powered by :coffee: I'm in the office too so a) commute to deal with and b) no where to hide. Might sneak out early though if I can
Made fake he1nz soup last night, mince pies, pecan and date banana loaf. Liberated several bottles along the way and used several OOD products tootoday must freeze some malt bread and cake before it gets eaten
Letter from boiler cover company saying they've been bought out by a 'bigger name' but they will hold my premium for this year :T saves about £120 over the year as I got an introductory rate last year and no need to shop around :T have already updated my budget and allocated the difference I thought it was going to go up to, to debt repayment
Today will include:
Something for tea from meal plan
Contact energy supplier and see if they can tell me what time E7 definitely is on
Check banking, surveys and FPL. Update my sheets
HM soup and snack to work, plus hot drink for commute.
Shuffle some washing around
Get stuff ready for clubs tomrrow and we're staying at friends overnight so need to pack a bag
Think about meals for week after next to a) get ahead and b) think about using more stuff out if freezer to minimise food spend next month
Take £30 from pot for fuel that I'd forgotten DH has spent
Get DH to check old account now switch has happened. Looks like it worked and was pretty painless. Let's hope we get the £125 soonDH and I have also talked about spending an hour a week checking accounts and finances which will be huge step forward as at the moment I do it all. I don't mind at all but I do worry sometimes
Write a list of cards I need for next couple of months so I have it in case I'm in town at some point
Right, off for cuppa two0 -
Morning Purps
I've been up earlier as well, although no where near as early as you! I ended up going to sleep at 7.30! (anything to get away from the throbbing. But it feels a lot better today, still aching a bit but nowhere near as unrelenting as yesterday
Payday for me today so did money shuffling and totalling various "pots" in the accountso geeky but feels so good to be straight and know where you are!
FVD apparently you can't get root canal on the nhs under sedation. But I have had a filling under sedation and I'm not sure it's worth it as they were really rough and then I ended up having a longer recovery. I think having a general and the tenderness it took about a week to recover  My dentist is aware of my phobia and is very gentle and reassuring so although it's traumatic it's over pretty much once the work is done. Poor dentist having a 41 year old child in her seat
A bit annoyed with oh because he ate the crisps and the last babybel that were earmarked for madam's lunch so there's very little to put in her boxdeciding to be non aggressive over it and just say he will need to stop and get her something on the way!
Other things for today:
* make lunches for us all
* freeze some chicken before it's too late (didn't cook it last night)
* check meal plan for tonight
* madam is going to bff's for sleepover tonight so need to get her bag packed up
* chicken breasts out of freezer for cardamon chicken tonight. Might pick up some pilau rice....
* work hard and get up to date. Only have 1 appointment today so should get through a lot
* night with oh might go over to the local for a few pints
* add wombled receipts to clubcard while picking up rice
* there's a pair of jeans ending on fleabay today that I want to get. They cost £70 to buy new (french connection) so really hoping I get them
Ok that's all, nothing earth shattering! Happy Friday :jDF as at 30/12/16

Morning all
I didn't sleep well either PFbut at least I no longer have a commute to put up with....
Hope DNMS is ok today
Was yesterday your last day at work FVD? Good luck with your new venture(s)
List for today:
GS2's second load of washing in machine, will peg out the load I did last night shortly, as it looks as though it will be a nice dayAll nearly dry on the line :T
Find something from freezer to make a stir fry for OH and I tonight - DS will be back from his work trip and taking GS2 (and the dog :T) away with him for the weekend prior to driving him back to college, so just the two of us for the next couple of daysI do love my family and feel I should do as much as possible for them, but admit I find it a bit of a strain having them living back with us after all these years
They have gone for their nice weekend away, and OH and I had lovely pork stir fry. Used up a few mushrooms in it, plus half a small tin of sweetcorn from the fridge
(Obviously other veg as well!)
Need to do the shop I have been putting off Done, Lidls then Sainsbugs. Bought a few packets of seeds in Sains, only to realise at the checkout that they were £2 a packet  Oh well, they will last a few years I suppose!
Liberated some free wine boxes (for ebay packaging) from Sainsburys :T
Dog walks Done
Pack an ebay item that sold last night Done, but now need to pack 2 more
List a couple more similar items Done
Packed books sold last night to webuybooks. Annoyingly, our town has only 1 pick up point, which is right at the other endCouldn't face it today, but I have found a box and packed them ready
Did a few online surveys
RM surveys tasks
Must check bank account that OH's huge dental bill came out of :eek:
And get something out of the freezer for dinner tomorrow.
That should do to get me started!0 -
Hi Friday Frugalistas,
Already managed two nice hot bubble baths from 1 lot of hot water & am letting my hair dry naturally to save on hairdryer energy.
Today I will:
*Write shopping list.....will be checking stores thoroughly & noting items we defo DON'T need.
*Make bread rolls.
*Free fitness clearing & digging over large bed in garden.
*Aim to finish another pair of baby socks I'm making to use up l/o yarn. Will have a nice basket full to sell on my sister's autumn knitting stall if I don't sell them before.
*Try to do a few surveys as am approaching pay-out on all of them.
*Find recipe for spicy chickpea burgers & check ingredients as I want to batch-cook a load of these next week.
*Investigate how I might use a fab Body Shop offer.
*All free leisure later on....really enjoying Swedish crime novel at the moment from library & will be updating my blog.
Have a great Friday all,
