  • 1. Batch cook macaroni cheese (the chilli I batch cooked yesterday was more or less inedible for the children due to spice overload, so will use it for DH's lunches, but now need to make something else rather pressingly).

Could you stir in a carton of passata to thin it down and tone down the heat a bit more?

  • Morning folks!

Hope everyone is keeping safe and dry in this weather! Woke up to hear a gale outside but it seems to have calmed down now.

I was absolutely saintly last night. I chopped all the celery and chard stalks and froze for making soup. Shredded the chard leaves and froze. Made dinner and finished another crochet square. :A

Am feeling quite well yesterday and today. Sort of calm and centred, like I can breathe properly. Although I don't often feel anxious these days, I often feel "foggy" - kinda like the real me is inside somewhere and I'm just going through the motions. Not sure if that makes sense? :o

Today I am on management training again so let's see if the good feeling lasts :rotfl:

    The mission:
    • B/D from stores. Free lunch at training
    • Crochet
    • No drinkies
    • Free stretching video
    • Send OH to supermarket with pre-prepared shopping list. I love this new meal plan/shopping list plan. It took me 5 mins to sort the meals for the week :)
    • Washing on rack, put away clean washing (seriously, there are two of us and the amount of washing in this house is unbelievable)
    • Deal with chicken stock in slow cooker
    • Nab a few herbal teabags from hotel conference centre ;)
Will add more if I think of it

    Have a good one all

CLF I get that feeling too, sometimes I'll have a day where I just feel "free" and it males me realise how fofged up the rest of my days are. X

    Morning all :)
Hope your day continues well CLF :)
Windy and rainy here today :( but I don't think we are in for the serious storms expected in other parts of the country.

    Today's list:
No heating on downstairs Toasty wood stove alight now though, with kettle singing on top :D
Dog walks OH and GS2 did these today :D
Yet another duvet to put away / wash cover. I swear they breed in this house! Done
Read meters and entered readings on to provider's web site
Beef casserole in SC for dinner tonight :)Done, did dumplings to go with it, which GS2 was very enthusiastic about :rotfl:
Cook some rhubarb from freezer - I need to use all this up before it starts growing again  and I am quite happy to have stewed fruit for breakfast instead of fresh :)Done, in fridge ready for use :)
Ebay items to post office Done
Small shop needed Put this off, made a loaf in the BM and made do without the rest - must do it tomorrow though!
Hair appointment at lunchtime Done, walked for free exercise :)
Check sales unit before or after as it is right next door! Not much selling action going on there, unfortunately :(
Sold another item on ebay though :)
Downloaded webuybooks app and scanned in over £20 of books :T (Thanks for the inspiration FVD - I used to do this but fell out of the habit!)
Pegged washing out late afternoon, when the wind had died down considerably, managed to get it nearly dry in just a couple of hours :T I did watch it quite closely though, in case it ended up over the neighbours :o Now on airer to finish off :)
Prised a mountain of washing off of GS2, who goes back to college on Sunday. Better to take his clothes back clean than bundled into a dirty laundry bag  First load nearly finished, ready for pegging outside tomorrow, it is supposed to be nice :)

OK coffee finished, better get started :)
  • Morning :hello: well done t'other mrs dowd on the photo :D

Good morning from sunny Manchester (one can dream :rotfl:)

That’s great for your talented Mrs, Ally! :T
Hope you feel better soon DNMS!

Today has been pretty productive so far – OH applied for a 0% cc and we can set up that card to clear within a year. :T I’m also happy he is keeping the debt in his name and not having to do the balance transfer to my card IYSWIM :o Although it’s all coming from the one pot it still feels good to split the load. Since I paid off my student loan I’ve been putting the extra to debts so over £1100 a month going towards them – will make good inroads on the 0% balances. :)

    What else…
Cheapo overnight oats for me and OH :A
Sandwich for lunch for me and OH :A
Food from stores tonight – have a few bits to use up – chicken, potatoes, carrots, green beans… so that’s tea sorted!
    Job#2 this eve – due payment :)
I reckon it’s too miserable to go on lunch today ;)
Reused a pretty empty tissues cube as a table-top bin
Still using the Rok deodorant I bought years ago – these things seriously last about 3 years!! Well worth the £8 payout :D
Didn’t straighten my hair - updo day

    Catch up on t’other side!

    Hi February Folks,

Quick post before work. Awoke to bucketloads of snow.

Debt Free-Nillionaire Continuity Plan Year Two:

    *
    Take a packed lunch.

    * DW should be working today but we don't know if it's going to be cancelled today because of the weather. The centre needs to make their mind up she needs to leave soon.

    * Done March's budget.
Debt-free day: 8th May 2015 "Remember that sometimes not getting what you want is a wonderful stroke of luck," Dalai Llama
  • Actually woke up feeling pretty 'normal' whatever that may be.....no temp, no aches.

Ally brilliant news on the photo
DNMS I hope you get the dental pain sorted, I can't think of anything worse:(

Doris is blowing a right gale here, had to wake my daughter up early, heard all the recycling tip over at 6am so we were out trying to sort it....well my daughter more than me.
Hospital have rang, they are concerned about people travelling in this weather, offered a phone consult instead so have opted for this.
Going to get the beds stripped this morning, banking already checked.
Hoping that the weather does calm down later as I've a couple of chores that I want to do out when dropping my daughter off to get her hair done.
More items sorted for the CS, hoping to get that all dropped off.
Also must tackle mount ironing Everest:eek:
    Stay safe everyone today x
