Hi all
Its been a rough couple of weeks for all sorts of reasons but things are improving. Have just spent the most lovely afternoon out with DS. DS is at that age where he is either with his mates and/or girlfriend or he is shut in his room. I didnt see him at all from Sunday to Wednesday this week! So when I suggested an afternoon at the coast and fish and chips on the seafront I didnt expect him to be so keen. We rounded it off with a coffee for me and an icecream for him. £13 well spent.
Dog is back on his allergy meds, £33 spent at the vet, suppose it could be worse.
Going to do some paid stuff now so I can do something more fun tomorrow!0 -
YorkshireLass, that's sounds like the perfect day, its lovely when they choose to spend time with you.
Last day done and came home with two bags of beauty stuffs from the beauty girls on each of two of the mags I've been working on. I have paid it forward and shared some with DSGF.
Had a bit of a wobble this afternoon when I got an email from someone elsewhere in the building that had heard it was my last day and wanted to know what dates I have free. It is good, don't get me wrong, but when I've just taken a huge leap of faith to go and do something different it was so hard to say no because it would be so much easier to just keep on doing the same. In fact I didn't exactly say no, instead I said I'm free on Thursdays (which I am) but then waffled on about how I could maybe do more days if it was a regular two or three days a week booking.
The teens are doing their washing up before I start to cook dinner, anchovy spaghetti is on the menu!Make £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)

Hi All
This week, I have taken lunch to work and snacks
Had 3 NSD :-)
Took DD to her hospital appt today and was done quite quickly so only £2 on parking, I dread to think the £100s they must have had from me in the last 3 years!
Popped into town and picked up some birthday cards for DD friends we seem have been invited a few parties in the next month.
Cooked a roast for dinner and some left over for tomorrow.
Sold a couple of bits on ebay and made £62
Used Prime trial to buy a phone charger and mine seems to have gone AWOL also picked up a spare for the car from £1 store.
Seeing friends tomorrow and going to icecream parlour/waffle place - yum
Had £20 survey money this week, which is excellent.0 -
Saved myself a small fortune today - IKEA were unable to take our order for the new kitchen! What kind of joke is that. The next appointment they could give me for someone to review the design is 8th March!! I'm going to take a gamble on my design being right (because we have already spoken to someone before!!) and order it online.0

Postage stamps are going up on 27th March. If you buy ones with a 1st or 2nd printed on them they are still valid after this date. Might be worth stocking up.Debt-free day: 8th May 2015 "Remember that sometimes not getting what you want is a wonderful stroke of luck," Dalai Llama0 -
Morning all
List for today:
No heating, no need! Will light wood burner if cold this evening. Cold and rainy now, so we lit it at 3.30 pm!
Used up a browning banana for breakfast
Dog walks Got to check the rain situation for #2 :rotfl:
Post office with ebay items, and some service station / garage at the other end of town with webuybooks parcel  Done
Strip off spare bed, wash linen and clean room Stripped bed and cleaned room, other washing took priority given it will have to be dried on the airer
Need to buy a box of tissues, as annoyingly, I forgot them yesterday. Would have been a NSD other than thisDone, also gave £1 to a lady collecting for the Marie Curie charity outside the post office
DD and little GD came round for lunch - beans on toast all round it was
Make a loaf in the BM In now, olive and oregano loaf, smells gorgeous
It is lovely, just like the olive bread you can buy (at a price  ) - used olives from a jar I bought in Lidls and dried oregano. I will definitely make this again. Love my Panasonic - enjoying trying out all the different recipes from the instruction book(well, except for one, curry and mango bread anyone??)
Got chicken thighs out of the freezer, have an idea to bake them on a bed of ratatouille and serve with tagliatelli. Will see how it goes. I have all the ingredients! Tasted great, and used items from the freezer :A
Used water heated on the wood stove to cook the pasta, and another lot to do the washing up
And pinching an idea from CLF, no alcohol today. I don't drink loads, but have got into the habit of having a glass of wine most evenings, and it is not a healthy way to deal with life's stresses! Never mind it is just one, I am a lightweight these days and it just gives me a headacheDoesn't help the weight either! Done, I won't have any now - my trigger time is when I am cooking dinner. Had a pineapple juice instead, and was quite happy with that
I will definitely list this as one of my 'small things' regularly in future, as it commits me to doing it!
Sold 2 more items on ebay
