I refer you to the last paragraph of my earlier post .

So no evidence offered and yet you were convicted?

Once convicted you got a ban and points, which is wrong and it stood after appeal in Crown Court?

    Something doesn't add up there.

It appears according to his accounts on pepipoo the OP is going to do the full Perry Mason...

Or do I mean Lieutenant George in Blackadder Goes Forth in the speckled Jim episode:

OP: Did you see me go under the gantry with the X?

    WPC: "Yes, sir. Clearly."

    OP: "Oh Bngger"

    Conclusion

    3 points, £190 fine +£ 30+ £300 costs

My attempt to convince the judge the officer was probably tired and I was driving in lane 2 was unsuccessful. The officer testified via video link, practically read fragments of her written statement, seemed taken by surprise about attending court, declared she was alert and focusing only on lane 1. I guess the prosecution didn't spend too much time preparing the case.

Of course I choosed the worse solicitor.... myself. These are my only 3 points ever endorsed on my licence, I hope I will not be caught again too soon.

Love the ending, he won't get caught again not he won't comit further offences.

No, attempts to convince people about things that didn't happen rarely are - especially when those people are used to seeing through lies.

Love the OP's remorse on Pepipoo "I hope I don't get caught again soon"

I hope I don't get caught murdering anyone - how would I best ensure this?

We could tell you but we'd have to kill you :D

Joking aside that's quite a good result. Nothing grips my !!!! like sitting in a queue of traffic watching people tear by in the closed lane making the queue worse. The thought that it might be costing them £500 will cheer me up a bit.

TBF, the penalty for using the closed lane was £100. The penalty for him being an argumentative liar was £420.

I heard an advert on the radio from Highways England (I think) this morning talking about the red x's on the motorway.
It reminded me of this idiot. Glad they threw the book at him. Thanks for the update.
