has anyone had luck calling the outgoing retentions team or have them call you back? I requested a PAC, got a couple of calls the next day which i missed but havent heard anything since (its been a week).
I had one call the next day, followed by a wait of 3 weeks until the next one! Another followed after two days, but I still haven't got anywhere yet!! I don't know if they will call again, I haven't got my PAC, I did ask for it initially and got referred to retentions, where I am still battling for a decent deal. No joy so far.0 -

Blackberry Storm phone
The Storm (or at least the variant Voda are currently supplying) has no Wifi inbuilt.
So if it can't find a 3G signal it will be painfully slow as it reverts to GPRS, at least the iphone and Google phone have wifi that you can use if need be.
Vodafone say their 3G network is so good you won't need Wifi. That's rubbish, I have a friend with a 3G Voda dongle and he finds it's OK but 3G is not everywhere, especially out of main cities his dongle reverts to GPRS. At least most pubs have Cloud points that the iphone can fall back to.0 -
I just phoned up and was offered what was on the website and thats' the best they do. Said i'd give it a miss!0

Hi
I've been with Vodafone for years and in the past have kept my existing contract and just gone for a new phone. I'm on 600 mins which is not cross network and 50 free txts and pay £13.50 a month - it is rare that I exceed this.
After some negotiating I've been offered either the Samsung F480 or Nokia N78 for a £10.00 fee and keeping my existing contract for 18 months.
Just wondering what you think of the deal and which is the better mobile.
Thanks a lot.0 -
Does anyone know how the retentions discount would be reflected on the bill? I was initially on CTRA500+STC+VP2+12M@35, but after a few discussions with retentions, I was offered a phone, with a new number, same inclusive minutes plus STC, for 22 pounds. However, I checked on Vodafone online billing and it still says @35 for this new number. Shouldn't it be @22?0

I'm not sure if the discounts show online. I know when they send it in writing to confirm it doesnt show discounts but is on notes on your account
By the way does anyone know if voda are doing the samsung i8510i as would like this on an upgrade

That's my experience too. I got a 3G Voda dongle at the weekend when they were doing an offer for £7.50 per month. Although my postcode was checked, found out that it only works outside (didn't fancy sitting out with my laptop in the snow). Since then I've tried it in places that they said that I would get 3G and only got GPRS (which was painful to say the least), and in one place where they said there was no 3G signal and from which I'm sending this now in 3G. I don't know why the signal is so bad here, I'm in a busy town in the South East, not the middle of nowhere.
Incidentally, got my SIM only upgrade for £12.50 for 600 mins and unlimited texts too, also have Vodaphone passport included. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? My contract expires next month so I called retentions who offered me 120 minutes and 200 texts per month and a free Sony C905 for £30 a month on a 24 month contract. Not overly impressed as it's only £5 less than if I was a new customer. As TMobile have reduced the google phone to £30 a month I was going to get that, so I called Voda yesterday asked if the deal they offered was the best they could, and when they said it was I asked for my Pac Code.
Today I got called back by retentions, who wanted to know why I wanted to leave. I explained the Tmobile google phone deal was better and I wanted internet access when I'm out. They offered me 250 minutes 100 text and unlimited internet access (with the usual fair use clauses) for £29.99 a month, they then asked what phone I was looking for and I said the Sony one, not remembering the name of the C905. The bloke said no problem we can throw in the SE Xperia X1 for free, all on a 18 month contract.
Needless to say I didn't feel the need to correct the choice of phone, but did get it changed to 225 minutes and 150 text which suits my use better.

Managed to get my contract (which expired in October 2008) down to £9.99 per month for 125 mins anytime any network, 250 texts and Vodafone Passport. 12 month contract. No new phone, but apparently you can get the exact same deal with a phone with the only exception being that it is an 18 month contract.0
