are many people not taking a new phone? i got offered my tariff at half price without a new phone on a 12 month contract, so £13.50, 200 mins, 500 txts and stop the clock. i'm fairly tempted with that coz i don't really need a new phone. do people think this is good?0

You can get 600 Minutes / unlimited texts @ £12.50 12 month contract. ask for it.0
-
yes also offered yesterday 600 mins + unlimited texts for £12.50 a month - no phone with a 12 month contract0

My contract is up and I have my PAC code.
I am on 500 Mins, 500 Texts & STC paying £35.00 a month (have been for 18 months).
Vodafone retentions offered me:
1) Samsung Omnia, 600 Mins, 100 texts, unlimited data for £26.00 a month for 18 months.
or
2) Nokia E71, 600 minutes, unlimited texts, unlimited data for £25.00 a month for 18 months.
The guy who offered me the above deals gave me his mobile and told me to phone him back when I have decided (they have not rung me since I spoke to them about 10-14 days ago).
Am I likely to get a better deal from them than these?
I did ask about the Blackberry Storm, but the guy said that they are not up for negotiation on the deals offered with that phone. If I want it I have to pay £35.00 a month for 24 months. You get 600 mins, unlimited texts, unlimited data and a free phone. Is that the best they can do? And is the phone really worth it, 24 months seems a really long time.
Also, if I did not take any of the phones & just opted for the mins & texts could I get the 600 mins, unlimited texts for £12.50 a month with a 12 month contract?
Or do I jump ship to 02 & get an iphone? Or join the 3 network (my wife is on this as is my stepson)?
My head is in a spin at the moment, too many phones to choose from?
What would you do?
Thanks in advance for any help on this.0 -
Yep, only Vodafone offer the phone so they can pretty much say "Don't wanna pay for it? Tuff" and yes it's worth it.0
-
Thanks for that fsrandom.
I must admit I really like the look of the Blackberry Storm. I may go for that one in the end.
Apart from that particular phone can you offer any advice on the deals I have been offered?
Can I expect anymore than whats been offered to me? And would I get the £12.50 deal if I didnt take a phone?
Cheers0 -
You can get £90 cash back through Quidco for a Vodafone contract. I'm ordering the Storm through Quidco in 3 weeks when my o2 contract has finished.0

I dont think I can do that as I am an existing customer?0
