Vodafone Retention Deals

Why would you need someone senior for this? Directors deal with Director issues, not customer services.
191 from your Vodafone handset and talk to customer services, alternatively you can goto the Vodafone website and use the eForum or e-mail customer service.
Ill tell you why, senior directors get things done!, I email the MD at the 3 network and the next day I got a call from the Exec office, the problem was dealt with and was offered an EXCELLENT deal.
I may also add that I contacted the email customer service and never heard a dickie bird.
Does that answer your question?.0 -
3's Customer Services is largely based in India, so I think they need an Exec Office that deals with customer care, due to the massive language barriers and script reading they do and, from what i've read, problems they cause.
Regardless, just be patient, you should receive a reply back soon. If not, contact them by phone.0 -
See as long as the amount you pay over the period of the contract covers the cost of the phone is that realistic or do vodafone need to guarantee to get more than the phones value?
I hope that makes sense.0 -
I was out of contract with Vodafone and I rang them to tell them that I was about to sign for orange, as I stood in a private phone sales shop with sales people and customers in the background, to prove that I wasn't bluffing;
They ended up offering me a Sony Ericsson C902 black, 200 minutes and 500 texts a month. The phone was free and contract £20 a month for 12 months, so I took it.
I've been with Vodafone for years and have always found them pretty good.
I'm pretty pleased with that, but as I don't usually visit this section of the website, i'm no authority on phone deals. What does everyone else think?0 -

Nope.
Depending on which sales department you go through too your account gets a lump sum too spend dependant on how much money you've spent with Vodafone over a recent period.
If that money covers you a £500 phone on a £10 per month 12 month contract then the sales agent will do it.
More often than not tho, it won't, but you do sometimes see deals where Vodafone are losing alot of money.0 -
It's a £300 retail phone, your paying £240 in total, your getting inclusive minutes and texts aswell, i'd call it a deal.0

Thanks,
Don't think I will get what I want then. I used to go over each month by about £5 on a £20pm contract but then I updated it to £25pm to get unlimited texts, 600 mins, unlimited internet and vodafone passport.
I do have another phone on that account that I pay about £18pm for and it hardly has anything with it. Its something like 100mins and 100texts.
I want to reduce the price of that without a phone or cancel and get a sim only deal and with the main phone I wanted to still pay about the £25pm and get the tocco but seeing as though I haven't went over in the last couple of months I very much doubt I will get offered anything!!0 -
ok
i have had this mobile for 12 mths- got it thru mobile 2 ur door with vodafone network. I got redemption cheques- and really used 500min 500 text for free for one year !
my contract has finished and talked with vodafone tonight.
initially offered 500min 100 txt 12.50 per months1-9 then 25 per month 10-12. 12 nth contract
they were adament that no one would have been given 12.50 per month for the whole 12 mth contract ( as has been posted on page 43 ), despite me quoting the post content etc.
they agreed to gove me 600min unlimited texts for 12.50 per months1-9 then 25 per months 10-12 for 12mths. I have taken it and have a 14 dy cool off period.
i think it is ok - any comments?0 -
Hi All,
I am currently with Voda on CTRA500+VP+12M@35 which I got 2 years ago with my SE K800i. I usually go about 5 quid over this per month with international texts plus internet/data access so total spend of 40quid.
I upgraded (through retentions) about this time last year on the same plan for a 12mth contract for a free N95 8GB and sold it on ebay for 400quid.
So I am up for renewal and have been waiting for a decent handset to come out and have decided I want the SE C905. This one i need to keep as the keys on the K800i as getting a bit too worn.
The phones4u website has some good deals at the moment so printed this off and went in to chat to them. Got offered the following:
Voda 18mth 600m/Unlimited Texts/Passport @ 35p/m plus 10pounds cashback with free SE C902.
Vodafone shop matched the deal as an upgrade on a 18mth or could offer me a 12mth contract but would have to pay 64pounds for the phone.
The best deal I can see is on the phones for you website...
Voda 18mths 600m/500texts/Passport @ 40p/m plus 10pounds cashback with free SE C902. This works out at a 480 spend before the next upgrade (the cheapest).
As I dont use my phone that much anymore (maybe 200m and 200 texts p/m) the minutes and texts dont bother me so I am thinking about ringing retentions and trying to get a 18mth @30p/m or 12mth @35 p/m. I would like to stay with Voda as I travel a bit and the passport is heaps cheaper than Orange roaming.
Does anyone know if retentions will likely go for the above, and if they will offer free internet/data for the length of the contact. Any tips from those who have recently been C905 shopping?
Edit:
After a 30minute chat to retentions got the following:
Free SE C905 (8.1 megapixel) with 500minutes/500 texts/Vodafone Passport/1 month free Internet on an 18mth for £27.50 p/m.
I am pretty happy with that... £7.50 p/m cheaper than my last contact with a new phone and twice as many texts (not that I use anywhere near all my minutes/texts anyway. Not overly happy with the 18mth contract (I love the 12mths so I can sell the handset) but still not too bad!0 -
Hey!
I have to be honest my head is spinning! vodafone have been so painfully bad for me, but i do love a bargain!
Ok so I took out a contract 18 months ago:
No Phone - 500mins - 1000 texts - free stop the clock for £30 per month
In that time they got my bill wrong 10 months out of 18... not a very happy bunny!
So renewal time they have offered me:
SE C905 - 600mins - Unlimited Texts - Stop the Clock free for 12months for £25 a month on 18 months again
Should i just bite the bullet and do a deal with the devil again?
Advise would be much appreciated!0
