Vodafone Retention Deals

1) Dialaphone deals are largely redemption / cashback, therefore, your the one risking losing your money / putting in all the effort/stress in order to save a £ or two. Networks cannot and most of the time will not match these deals.
2) The original agent who setup the deal cannot change your contract once it has been setup, also, unless you go through too the direct call centre area he works in, it's not possible to transfer too a specific person period.
3) Call through too Customer Returns on 191 option 3 option 2 (or 4, cant remember) and discuss the issue and get it returned.
I'm sorry you've been mis-advised.0 -

Expecting a call back at the weekend - was this on a 12 or 18 month contract.**BERTIE**Did you Know: It costs more than £325,000 a day to run the lifeboat service? (with no government funding) Please donate to the RNLI0 -

That'd be on an 18 month deal, it wouldn't be financially viable on a 12. (With the phone being £540 from Nokia and that contract bringing in a total revenue of £360 on a 12 month contract).
Let me also advise that the N96 currently has -alot- of software issues with it, and it's made of plastic and a purely horrible phone. Choose something else.0 -

My other option, for which I have already had a call about upgrading to, is the new Blackberry Storm - which looks very good.**BERTIE**Did you Know: It costs more than £325,000 a day to run the lifeboat service? (with no government funding) Please donate to the RNLI0 -

My 18 month contract is up in the next couple of months (1st Jan) so I'll be keeping a very close eye on this thread until then. Thanks to all contributors so far.0

hiya,
online it says that i can upgrade my phone as of today (4/11/08) it must be 70 days before my contract ends.
there are no offers im bothered about online, so what i want to know is can i go on payg now or do i have to wait untill my contract runs out?
any advise?0 -
Why does the deal range so much depending on who you speak too?
I went in to a store today to see what deal I could get as I am due an upgrade. I am on a pretty good tariff £20 a month 75 mins, 250 texts and said i was looking at the Nokie N78. They said they couldn't get me a better deal on my tariff, and the N78 would be about £20 for the handset plus an increase in my tariff to £25 a month for 18 month contract!
I said I would shop around but thought that wasn't too bad an offer.
I called Vodafone today to take out the offer and they said first of all they wont offer a handset upgrade AND tariff upgrade, just one or the other. I said I was interested in the N78 and they said that would be £45 for the handset with no change in tariff for 24 month contract or £60 for 18 month contract. I said I would look around and left it there.
Now I have just looked online and gone through the upgrade options in my account on the Vodafone website and I can get a the current tariff I am on now and the N78 for FREE with no increase in cost per month for 18 month contract.
I dont see why there is such a difference in price depending on who you speak too! Its all a lottery! I want to go ahead with the web offer but it wont let me put a different delivery address so will have to ring up vodafone again!
I might leave it for a bit and see if I get any retention calls again and see what they can offer.
Any tips?!0 -
I've finally decided it's time to change my phone and have seen the Sony ericsson W902 which I quite like. However, the only deals I can find are with orange and 02. Are Vodafone are goin to be having this phone aswell?0
