we havent got our pac code yet. no one has rang us so its up in the air. think we'l just wait till we have a month left and try again.0

So in months 16-18 you can get your PAC without penalty?
You still need to pay but instead of just being told they can't do anything, you get to at least speak to saves first who will try and retain you. Then if you're not happy you'd have to pay the last few months up front, but you get to speak to them.0 -

Hello, this is my first post.
I have been reading this thread for a while, getting ready to argue my way to the best deal I could. I called upgrade and said no to everything they offered and got a call the next day from retentions, but I missed the call and they didn’t phone back for a few days. So I called back, and requested my PAC. I got a call the next day, but the timing was real bad, as I was at work and very busy. I really needed to upgrade and didn’t want to wait days for them to call back, so I answered. I told him what I wanted, bartered a very little and took an offer I thought was good. I got
12 Month contract
Free Samsung Omnia
250 Minutes Xnet
100 Texts
Unlimited internet
£30pm
This is better than I have seen anywhere else, so should I stick with it or call and argue for more?
I was also told that the phone came with a case and a TV out cable, which it doesn't. I need to call to double check I am getting what they said I would, so should I comment on the missing items and ask for a better deal?
Cheers for any help.0 -

I'm afraid I don't think you're looking hard enough - that's a terrible deal. That is just a standard tariff except with internet added - which is only worth £5 p/m anyway. As a starting point you should at least get half price line rental for the whole 12 months. You have 14 days to cancel and I would do that and start again. Have a look at what someone got here for 12 months @ £22.50:

And since you need far fewer texts/minutes I would be expecting to pay alot less than £22.50. Also, it might be worth pointing out that (judging by Vodafone's forum) people seem to be having endless problems with the Omnia. Seems like these early touchscreens are quite there yet.
Anyway, good luck if you decide to have another go.0 -
Unlikely, unless they're uber high value.0

OK, so decided to call on 0808060082 to confirm my contract, they got that right at least. i then mentioned i was unhappy about the missing items and overall value of the package. They put me though to returns.
The nice lady there offered to credit me for the missing case and give me half price line rental for 3 months. I said I wasn’t happy with this either as O2 and T had better internet packages.
She said she could send a courier to pick up the phone if I did not want it. I said I would think about it. Will retentions call me back do you think? I should I just accept what i have?0 -
just had 'retentions' ring me up, even though it was the wrong number (should have been my sisters number not mine). Asked us why we didnt take the offers and said because we wanted the phones free. He said that he could do 600 minutes, unlimited text and internet with a free tocco but couldnt give us the omnia free on the same deal (would be my phone). I asked him why and he said he only has a set amount of money to use and we have used it all.
So i told him that i have been going over by £30 some months so should have enough money to give me a deal as ive give them quite a lot of money but he said he couldnt do it. Told us to get my sister to ring back and see what he can do (its in her name so i cant get that many decent deals). so im abit annoyed. This was just asking for the same deals as you get on the internet for new customers.0
