Hi All!
I would like a bit of advice regarding my 2 lines I have with Voda.
First and main line is
500 mins anytime
unlimited texts
voda family of 4
for £40
second line is
75 mins
500 texts
for £20
second line has been out of contract for a few months now, the first, I am into my last 30 days of the 18m deal.
I have just spoken to inbound retentions and have been offered the following:
Line 1
250 mins
100 texts
for £17.50 18m deal
Line 2
75 mins
500 texts
for £20 again 18m deal
Both of these are for SE C902's with no contribution for the phone.
I have requested the PAC for both the numbers and these have been ordered, and he will call me back monday as I said I wanted time to think about the offer.
I have looked at my average usage for the past 3 months and between the 2 lines calls are on average 300/400 mins although most of these are on the voda family deal, and texts of about 60/70. So we are no where near using all our inclusive minutes or texts.
I know its not an exact science, but what do people think I should be holding out for as this is there opening offer?
Thankyou for any advice0 -
Hello guys
I have been witth 3g for 16 month for videotalk 500 for £15 pound a month. I called upgrade dept. no help , they did not even offer special price.
Any suggestion.0 -
You need to give 30 days notice to end your contract, when this is appropriate to the terms of your current contract, and wait for their retentions department to call you and make any special offer.0
-
did you ask them for a special offer to stay?
Know what you want before you get on the phone. Find a better deal and a new phone on a new network and tell them what you can get elsewhere and explain that you'd rather stay with them if they'd be able to get you a better deal, but as it is, what they're offering you just isn't enough.
Lay it on thick!0 -
Hi all,
I have one month left on my contract, "So i will be waiting for that retentions call" But what do i ask for ? I pay £18pm had this half price for 8 months of my 12 month contract, 100 any network mins & 250 txt. been with vodafone for 6yrs.
No what i'm after is the samsung omnia for Free.
about 500mins any network mins, 200txt, unlimited internet & my family
How much should i be looking at paying ?0 -
Small update:
Got a call back from 01782 609100
Line rental 1 reduced to £13.50, but would not budge on the other @ £20.
So for 2 lines and 2 C902s £33.50 for 18m
Is it worth requesting the PAC and taking my chance?
Any advice as I've got him to call back tomorrow lunchtime.
Thanks0 -
hey just so you guys get an idea of what to expect..
I was on Orange for 18months at £35. Frequently paid more than that though, as my allowance was measly.
But as I get free home internet I wanted to stay with them.
So I called up going on about how expensive it is, and how I'm a student. She offered me two deals:
£15 /month 600mins unlimited text
£20 /month 1200 mins unlimited text unlimited internet
I could have got the Tocco (popular phone at the moment) but due to better camera and flash, I chose to take the viewty with the second offer. The nice lady threw in a 2gig memory card too
Hope that helps0 -
Well it would seem from reading this thread I have been paying well over the odds for my phone contract. Especially for the last 6months I have not been getting anywhere near using all my mins and texts. I have though been clocking up a bit of an extra bill sending texts to america...
So....
Having nearly served my 18months when the come a calling is there any deal they will do me that includes texting and calls to an overseas number? It only needs to be the one number, but looking round the vodafone site i can find nothing to suggest it is possible... so is it?0
