Vodafone Retention Deals

Hello Again jimgee, the high street was a waste of time. I am going to ring now for my code and see what happens. What do I say if they ask why, where do I say I got a better offer from?

Nothing at the moment, I was in the middle of shopping and paying so said I was looking around and to call back.
Ideally I would like the 600 mins and unlimited texts as that seems pretty standard on their tariffs now.I would also like a phone with GPRS is it? That I can use to navigate. But this is extra per month - so I don't really want to pay any extra. Don't really want to pay for a new phone and like the look of the 6210 or the samsung G600.

Well, you don't really have to give reasons but when CS asked me I didn't say I'd been offered anything else I just said I was totally unimpressed with the deals from upgrades. Not that I spoke to them but I know they have minimal power to offer discounts. I doubt CS will push you further though - they know you'll be contacted before you leave. If they do I'd just tell them you haven't got time to discuss it and can they just send you the PAC asap.

Just rang and asked the first person I spoke too for my PAC Code, she asked why and I said I was looking at other networks, she put me through to dis-connections.

I spoke to a man from disconnections and he asked why I was leaving I said I wanted more minutes and a new phone, he said for what I pay now he could give me 250 MINS but he would reduce my texts to 100 (which is what he said I usually use). I would however lose STC and rollover. I can also have a W890I 8GB for free. I said I would think about it and asked for the PAC code anyway.

He have me his email address to get back to him if I want the deal. It doesn't seem anywhere near as good as the deals others seem to have. Your sister's was fab.

Yep, awful deal but that's cos he's not retentions. They are the ONLY people worth speaking to. Look out for that 0808 number cos soon they will start calling! Incedentally, before they do what are you actually after in terms of ideal phone, mins, texts, internet, STC etc.?

Ideally I would like a W980I 8GB , 600 mins, 150 texts and free email and internet with my friends and family deal for between £25.00 + £30 per month. But is this being unreasonable? If i had 600 mins i wouldn't need STC.

They'll do alot better than that judging by these two retention deals:

They are for the Samsung Soul and Tocco but both are listed at the same price as the W980i by Vodafone so this should give you a very good idea of what to expect.

Wow that second deal would be ideal :T . Thanks jimgee. I await my call! Hope it comes soon. Want a shiny new phone now. Wrote the deals down and will stand my ground!! Will let you know what happens. :A

i rang vf today, and got pressed the option for 'wanting to leave vodafone'. Currently, am on 12 month deal, 1000 texts, 500 x network mins,Passport. I pay £35 per month.

Managed to get offered

Free Samsung Steel
500 mins any network any time
1000 texts
vodafone passport
free bluetooth headset
unlimited internet usage

20.99 per month for 9 out of 12 months.

or

17.50 per month without unlimited internet for 9 out of 12 months.

I think its a cracking deal,but am worried about the phone.Do you think I could get a better phone, and what advice would you give me to get it cheaper,with a better phone. I would be willing to sacrifice the unlimited internet if It meant it could go down to say £12.50 per month like one post.
