I'm looking for a better deal and have scanned the other networks but i am happy with the service of Vodafone.
I'm on CrossNetSaver 100 Incl IB at £17.02. I aslo have 3Pounds 1/2 price Ex Pack at £2.55. Monthly i will pay in total between £22 and £26. I will finish contract 31Aug08.
Was looking for new phone with deal, Blackberry 8310 red or Nokia N95 8GB
Any suggestions?0 -

hi guys
i work for the vodafone retention sales department
if you would like any advice on upgrades or release dates of when we will have a certain hand set in please ask
if you are enquiring about an upgrade then please let me know your current price plan and what you average spend is each month and will be able to let you know what we would offer you in a retention call
Hi Partybase (or anyone who can help),
I would like your advice, I have been with vodaphone for years, currently out of contract, had one call a couple of months ago, but nothing since, I can't remember what they offered but it was rubbish.
I am currently on 125 mins, 250 texts, stc and rollover minutes for £20 p.m and I pay an extra £5 for friends and family.
What can I expect to be offered as an upgrade? - I like the look of the W980i, if I upgrade online it would cost me £15. I would like unlimited landline calls or extra minutes but don't really want to pay more than £25 a month. The most I usually spend is £30 when i go over my minutes.
Many Thanks0 -

My sister got 15 of 18 months @ £25 p/m and:
Free SE C902
900 mins
Unlimited texts
Unlimited internet
Stop the Clock
That was on a new connection but retentions will have better deals than that available. I don't know what the commercial rules are for retentions (someone please tell us!) but the commercial rules for Vodafone new connections should be a starting point for your negotiations. They are as follows:
1) Half price line rental for 15 out of 18 months or 9 out of 12 months on their standard tariffs. You can renegotiate in months 10 or 16 anyway.
2) Whatever you spend in total line rental is also what you can spend on a handset (up to £300+vat).
ps. Don't pay for Saturday delivery! Free delivery, one months mobile TV (£10 value pack) and a bluetooth headset should all be given free if asked for.0 -
Thanks jimgee, just need to ring them now! I am rubbish at negotiating. Will let you know how I get on!!
Will go and have look at some phones first, liked the features on the SE W980i but it gets mixed reviews.
I seem to go through this every 18months, its a pain, I have never managed a decent deal, this time I am determined.
Thanks Again.0 -
Just phoned vodafone sales on 08080408408 for a 600 minutes and unlimited text contract.
They would not budge on price for a N95 8GB or a Samsung Omnia however they would on the SE c902.
The minute i mentioned Quidco the guy offered me 15 of the 18 months at £20 per month. When i then said i needed to think about it, he dropped it to £17.50 per month.
Final deal was:
SE C902
600 anytime minutes
Unlimited texts
3 months free insurance (which i will cancel at the 3 month point)
15 months at £17.50
Last 3 months at £35 (Can actually upgrade anytime during last 70 days of plan)
Total for 18 months is £367.50
Bearing in mind that T-mobile, O2 and Vodafone are all offering their SIM ONLY (30 day contract) price plan with 600 minutes and Unlimited texts for £20 a month; this seems like a pretty good deal for a free C902.
Finally, with Vodafones 14 day returns policy, i have a while to think about it.:beer:0 -
Renovatio, If you wanted a N95 can I suggest an E66? It comes out this week and does virtually the same but is sooo much better looking. It's had fantastic reviews too! Also, don't forget you can try the mobile TV value pack for 1 month free.
Jaynelovestoshop, if you aren't so confident why not look through this thread to find a deal you like? Then just say a friend got such and such a deal to avoid all the bartering preamble.0 -
I just called Vodafone to discuss an upgrade after coming to the end of a 12 month contract. I'm currently paying £40 a month (I recouped most of that through cashback), which gave me Anytime 500 minutes+ 500 texts. In reality I use next to nothing as I tend to recieve a lot of calls rather than make them myself, so I'm trying to get my monthly bill down to below £20.
I talked about the N95 8GB, N78, E71 and C902. The best I was offered was the N78 or C902 on 250mins/100 texts for £20 a month - internet usage at £5 extra per month. On the E71 I'd be looking at £25 for the same minutes/texts.
I said I'd think about it but also asked for my PAC code in case I wanted to change networks. Are those offers any good? Should I hold out for better deals? Cheers for any advice.0
