Vodafone Retention Deals

I'm on the same deal as you were on, asked for my pad code but missed the call from retentions( was at work) I've tried through chat etc to get retentions to call back but no luck.
I've been offered the same deal as you but for £13.95 per month I'd like to get it down a bit more.
Any tips for getting retentions to call?
i rang them anderson, then asked for pac code from whichever department that is
i was actually after s7 but no good deals were coming up in my price bracket so when they said another sim only for this price i just took it lol
hope you get it sorted0 -
Just go onto live chat and ask for retentions. I got put through straight away (after writing something like "can you put me through to the retentions dept as they offer better upgrade deals"), and got unlimited txts/calls and 5GB data for £8.50.
Also got 2 months free as well as I cheekily asked for that (as my contract term ends 2 months after the retentions 50% off deal, hence it'll revert to £17 - that'll cover the difference)
Good to have the chat log in writing, as when the deal came through the next day the data and the price was wrong - they (eventually) fixed it when I quoted the chat log.0 -
Someone told me at Vodafone today that retentions has been outsourced to a private company Can anyone verify that0

Vodafone offered- interested in any opinion on offer
Offer 1- sim only - 500m unlimited txts 5gb data and all you can eat first 3 months.......£10.20
Offer 2- Galaxy Edge unlimited minutes texts 3gb data- £42/month with a 40% discount
This equates to £25.20/month0 -
Not good compared to the offer in post above yours, I'd hold out for that deal0

I had 4 SIM only lines on a 20GB for £15 a month offer that ran out today so I went on the web chat yesterday and asked about upgrades. I was told they could not discount the 20GB plan and it would be £37 a month.
I then went back onto web chat and asked for the PAC numbers, and was put through to retentions. After some haggling I ended up with:
22GB a month SIM only
extra 4GB of roaming data a month
2 months unlimited data
entertainment pack (spotify etc)
12 month contract
the price is £22.20 a month but I got the first two months free, so it's effectively £18.50 over the 12 months. It's a slight increase on what I was paying but the roaming data will make up for it as I have spent quite a bit on Euro traveller costs this year.0 -
Offer 2- Samsung 6 Galaxy Edge unlimited minutes texts 3gb data- £42/month with a 40% discount
This equates to £25.20/month
I took "offer 2",with a "discount below" even though they offered me a sim only package for 12 m at £8.50 for 500m 5gb data unlimited texts
Offer 2 plus 2 months free as comp. for upgrading early plus £20, so took this and equates £22.50/month for full term.... 24m plus existing contract time I wanted a new phone in upgrade even though the iphone SE 16GB IS £360 at John Lewis outright buy
It is not worth upgrading 60 days out wait till the last week , that is if you want to stay with Vodafone as your contract changes run immediately so if more your paying the existing contract to end of its period at that new rate
Had a MAJOR struggling battle with Vodafone customer Service what was promised had to ring back and make sure it was eventually added.
Ringing customer service is a battle, takes an hour of time plus and still they do not do what they promise.
John Lewis has great customer service, when are they going to do phone contracts!0 -
I got a new deal last week. I knew I wanted to stay with Vodafone because we live in a remote area and theirs is really the bet signal. However, my partner is on Tesco, so I know their service is good enough to act as a bargaining tool. Looked at both websites, decided on the handset and package I would like, and gave Voda a call. I didn't beat about the bush, told the guy that I was ready to upgrade but had seen a better deal and wanted to negotiate as Tesco was £13.50 vs Voda at £19. The best he could do was 15% which was still £3 per month more - or £72 over the 2 years, which is enough for me to swap. He transferred me to retentions, ended up with a newer handset and the same deal for £14.25, waived the delivery charge and a £5 upfront payment. Phone should have been delivered last Monday, but told that because of where we live it would probably take 1-2 days more. It hadn't arrived by Wednesday afternoon so I went online. Website showed that it had not been dispatched, so I went onto live chat, who confirmed that it was with the couriers. He asked me to hold while he contacted the couriers, and told me it would definitely be delivered the next day, and credited £10 to my account for the delay. Courier turned up with the phone an hour later :-)
Also, this is my first Samsung handset, and I love it, none of the usual trauma or tantrums associated with a new phone.0 -
