I got a Samsung S7 Edge for £54.44 (20% discount) but only a 12 month contract... instead of £185 upfront I paid £125.10gb red value plan with Spotify plus 2gb extra data per month
Also offered me £39.10 (30% discount) on 12gb plan with no Spotify but that was 2 years which I am not keen on.
Happy with it0 -
And Im back in the game!!
My Vodafone contract ends soon and I phoned 48h ago to ask for a PAC having been questioned heavily on why I wanted to leave.
I dont know if it helps but I have 2 contract phones with Vodafone running on a pattern to expire on alternate years.
The operator offered me the SIMO deal mentioned several times in the last few pages which I declined and then offered it again at a 30% discount which I again declined. The fact it was a 12 month lock in was not volunteered until I asked - but obvious really I suppose.
I waited ages for the PAC which failed to materialise and so phoned again and was passed to several different people until I spoke to one with 'authority" to issue me another one who again offered the discounted SIMO.
So now Im waiting.
I currently have 7GB of data and unlimited minutes and texts with an S5.
What I want is an S7 with 5GB of data - this has free Spotify premium and EU calls and data - with the phone at modest up front cost. Online resellers have this package at £32 per month with Quidco available too.
Interestingly I now qualify for the VEA through work so if retentions get close to this Im in the money - lets see.............
Not a sausage from retentions so I have just used the PAC and am off to Giffgaff with a plan to port to the next deal I see
Best deal currently is 32 per month for an S7 and 6GB of data (inc tethering) plus their European extras with Vodafone and £80 Quidco until the weekend. 3 are a sniff better but have now stopped tethering unless you're on their £££ plans
Im pretty happy with that and have no probs porting twice over the next week - been there, done that - although Im moderately surprised retentions didnt even bother to call0 -
Have these guys stopping doing callbacks with better offers?! Have been waiting a few days!0

I also requested my PAC a few days ago and have had no contact from the retentions team.0

Was on live chat a few weeks altering my main sim only and I enquired about a data only sim for iPad..
Looking on website it's 20pounds for 10gb of data....the advisor said they could do it for 15 pounds....I was very tempted but time was getting on and I let it slip....asked again a couple of days later and they said no offers available. Oh well
So yesterday I was on live chat and I asked about the same offer 10gb of data and the advisor came straight back and said 10pounds per month on a 12 month contract !!! I asked for first month free and she agreed straight away.....thinking I could have got 2 months free
The ever changing way of Vodafone deals0 -
Hmm, I've accepted a SIM deal where I might have gotten better.
Unlimited Mins and Txts, 10GB Data, 2GB European Data, Spotify Premium - 12 months £16.20
It did say if I wanted to cancel I had 30 days. Is it worth me ringing back and trying to get the 25GB package?
Worth noting my average data usage is 3.1GB because I use Sptoify Premium, so, unless something dramatic happens, I don't actually need anything more than I've got.0 -
Although buying an iPhone is far from Money Saving I was due an upgrade as I prefer 12 month contracts over 24 month minimum terms.
Granted it's a brand new device but when using their Live Chat service the operator made no real attempt to keep my custom.
Wasn't offered any form of deal (Sim Only or otherwise) so needless to say I'm looking forward to 13th October when my service with them terminates.
Just hope they don't make a mess of the cancellation! It's not your credit score that counts, it's your credit history. Any replies are my own personal opinion and not a representation of my employer.0 -
Isn't that about the same size hope as winning the premium bonds?0

Managed to get an S7 on the 3GB plan for £27.75 with a months free line rental. No upfront cost and postage fees.
They wouldn't budge anymore. Works out about 27% ish i had 45% last year0 -
Hi
My phone contract is due to expire on 13/11/2016,
My current contract is with Vodafone, I have an iPhone 6 64GB with unlimited texts and minutes and 4GB of data at £43.50 per month.
I would also like a new handset (an iPhone 6 preferably) as my current one has difficulty in charging. I have to balance it on the end the charging cable is to get it to charge rather than simply plugging it in.
I am a bit rubbish at the old haggling thing, just wondered what type of deals are out there that I can realistically expect? Ideally I would like something similar to the package I have with an iPhone 6 for around £35 per month. Am I being too unrealistic?
Thanks for any replies.0
