Vodafone Retention Deals

Just got the S7 with unlimited minutes, unlimited texts and 8GB of data for £31.40. I'll try and push for more but I'm happy to take it if that's all I can get.0

Anyone got a direct number for retentions? I've been trying to get in touch with them as noticed my bills going up from £13.20 to £22 and I'm not having that! Know I can negotiate another deal or if not I'll leave as better Sim deals - currently unlimited minutes and texts and 3gb data plus I had 6 months Spotify. This does end in a couple of weeks so I need to sort a new 12 months deal or leave, don't need a new handset.
Can't find the link to live chat and when I use 191 option 1 option 3 I'm just on hold for ages.
Thanks!
Retentions is outbound only, 191 is pointless to negotiate a new deal. You just need to do 191, option 'thinking of leaving us', ask for PAC code and don't get bogged down in negotiating with them. Then retentions will call you in next few days just don't miss the call.0 -
All sorted now - went via 191 and pressed he button about thinking of leaving and requests a call back - missed the first call so did it again and spoke to a rep and have reduce my £13.20 deal to £11.90 that's for unlimited calls and texts and 4gb of 4g data - was 3 gb last year and I never use all that.
That is fine for me - wasn't interested in a new phone as I brought my iPhone contract free last year. Didn't want the Netflix etc as don't use that on my phone.
I've never had problems with Vodafone and I'm pleased with my deal - they said to make a note to ring them up again next January to discuss a further reduction.Sealed Pot Challenge number 8 Amount declared £365.50.

Well I thought I was well sorted - noticed on the Vodafone app that my new plan was saying £15.30 not the agreed £11.90 then got a confirmation email tonight saying I'd got just 10% discount not the agreed 30% and end date of the new contract (I'd agreed 12 months) was June 2018!!
So after a while I got through to retentions, explained the situation and said it was not what I'd agreed and after a supervisor checked my new deal is £10.20 with extra data added - was 4gb then they said it was now 5gb. I'm happy it's even less money for more data.
So asked for a confirmation text and that says £10.20 and "you have an additional 4gb of data added on your plan" commitment date 12 months.
I'm now expecting the Vodafone app to have several days of going very strange!
Just hope this is all correct it's changed several times since Friday night!Sealed Pot Challenge number 8 Amount declared £365.50.

That's exactly what happened to me a few weeks ago, when I'd agreed 50% off with retentions live chat but the app and confirmation email next day only said 30% off.
Took 2 weeks, 2 live chats and 4 calls to sort, as each advisor gave wildly different advice.
One said "go to a store with a printout of the live chat where 50% was agreed", another 'sorted' it but only 40% off, another said "I've put notes on the account - it'll take 5 days to go through" (of course nothing happened over a week later).
Finally done and dusted, though I'm not holding my breath as I'm expecting complications next bill when they try to apply the £17 credit I also negotiated with retentions.
Super happy with the actual service however - the 4G is blazingly fast and available pretty much everywhere I've tried, so I didn't really want to leave Vodafone.0 -
Yes I'm expecting my next bill may not be correct and that I may well need to speak to retentions again. I did ask the last advisor to text me the confirmation of the £10.20 rate - which they did although I'm still not 100% clear on how much data I've got - thought it was 4gb then another 1 added then a message mentioning another 4gb.
I'll pop into a Vodafone shop tomorrow we what's showing on my account. It's now showing £12.63 for my next bill says it includes my £8.50 monthly bundle.
My bundle says 12 months line rental at £8.50 a 50% discount with 5gb data - can't think that's right as I thought it was £10.20 although I'd settle for £8.50:rotfl:Sealed Pot Challenge number 8 Amount declared £365.50.

Been on Live chat tonight to confirm all the details of my new plan as want to check everything is now settled whilst I'm still within the 14 days cooling off spell.
Have taken screen shots of the conversation and my new deal is unlimited minutes and texts plus 5Gb data for £8.50 a month.
It's the Red £17 a month deal with 50% discount applied with an extra 3Gb of data.
Very happy with that deal - the discounts kept appearing!Sealed Pot Challenge number 8 Amount declared £365.50.

That's the deal I got, though in the initial live chat I was quoted 4GB instead of 5GB.
That's why I was keen, as last year's deal was with 3GB of data at 40% off. 5GB at 50% off is even better, hence why I kept on at them to get it right.
I wasn't offered it initially - their first offer was same as last year. I mentioned the mobiles.co.uk £6.50 cashback by redemption deal and they came back with an improved offer.0 -
Vodafone rang me yesterday to offer me a deal because they could see i was going over my data limit by 2 gb. They offered me £29pm for 6gb data on a rolling contract. I advised them that we recently moved to a house with no broadband as yet hence the increase in mobile data use. So as much as it clearly is an increase, it is not the norm and she should refer to my pre Christmas bill for more accurate evidence when offering me a deal. She said that she could only see the last three months and that i should call in.
I called in and after being offered a deal for £21.60 for 6gb data I advised that my previous bills were only £12 ish. He then went to his "supervisor" and came back saying the absolute minimum he could offer me was £20. I advised them to look at previous bills and ill not be accepting that deal, he said it would take 48hrs to access the detail, so i told him to call me back when he had them.
Having put only just put the phone down it rang with the same guy offering me £13.50 for 6gb pm. I accepted it immediately as it seemed a good deal especially as the same guy had only just said that minimum he could do was £20 (LIES). He said it was the same discount staff get at 50%
Upon glancing this thread I saw the deal £8.50 for 5gb data and was amazed. I simply rang back this morning and advised that i'd like to go on the £8.50 deal that is currently 3gb data with 2gb for free and they did it there and then with no haggling no negotiating and no questions asked, didn't even ask where id heard of the deal or if another operator had offered me it.
Im super pleased but feel I should have now haggled as that was way to easy lol!0 -
