Who said that? Retentions or just the team when you call to upgrade?

This was just the live chat team, no idea how you get through to retentions?! I've been told it twice now.

Ignore them, not even worth bothering.

Just ring up, ask for you PAC code, and with any luck retentions will call you within the next few days.

Outbound only you can't ring them, so make sure you answer any unknown numbers during that time.

Not very impressive but was impatient and asked for my pac code via live chat several months before my contract ended. Person I spoke to lied and said they couldn't go any cheaper for sim only but I'm used to vodafone lying to me so not a surprise! :D

    12 months sim only
6gb 4g with an extra 2gb added on.
    unlimited minutes and texts
    12 months spotify

Complained about signal in my house and got a sure signal included for free (normally £100) :T

    £21.60 a month.

Phoned up for a Galaxy S6 Edge 64GB (intending to get my PAC). As expected the guy said "we can't discount iphones or S6's for commercial reasons".

But then as I was about to ask for the PAC, he said "but I can put you through to another department that has more leeway".

First time that's ever happened, in that it seems I was put straight through to retentions, no waiting for a call Etc.

Anyway package I wanted was 64GB S6 Edge, plus nowtv plus 6GB data 24 month contract.

On the website I think it's £54 or £59 a month plus £70 for phone. Tried to push it below £30 but she wouldn't. In the end:

Free phone, £31pm, and I was happy to deal without getting PAC and waiting for another call to try again :)

Great deal! I am hanging on. My contract doesn't officially end til early October but I know new iPhone models will be released early sept. Going to wait until then to make a move i reckon. At least then I can actually leave if I can't get anything decent!

I said earlier that I was meant to get a sure signal for free well it turns out that was a lie just to get me to upgrade and I shouldn't have been told that. I've now cancelled my upgrade and now that I'm back on my old contract will request my pac code so be careful!

Can't stay with vodafone after all the lies.

Have rung up for a retention deal but spoke to initial call centre through phone options. I currently have a Samsung S4 with unlimited minutes, unlimited Texts and 2gb data. I rang up for the S6 Edge 64GB and wanted similar deal.

Have been offered a Samsung S6 Edge 64GB with 1000 minutes, unlimited texts and 3 gb data for £30.80 and upfront cost of £20.

Alternate deal was same phone for free with unlimited minutes, unlimited texts and 4gb data for £34.90.

are they good deals? I have worked out I dont use more than 200 minutes per month so wondered if I should take the first but ask for free phone?
