any one managed to get a good deal on the edge 64gb?

I have just bought an additional line with Vodafone 64gb edge, free, with 6gb data and unlimited mins + text for £54 a month (£43.20 after VAE 20% discount).
Anyone been able to better this?

My 1st line I am paying £38 a month for 6gb, unlimited mins + text and a free iphone 6+ 128gb which I got in Feb as an upgrade...

I got 128Gb s6 edge, Red value: 25 GB data, unlimited texts / calls, entertainment package for £35 / month - 50% discount.

When I called and said I was thinking of leaving I was initially offered £42 / month for same deal and was told no other discounts were available. I called twice more and was told the same - i.e because of the phone and package they were not allowed to discount any further. The reps. sounded as if they thought I was being outrageous with my requests for a 50% discount...

Got my PAC and the next day I was called by outbound retentions and did the above deal - I told the rep what I wanted and after checking with their manager I did the deal with no hassle. Took 5 minutes with their Belfast call centre.

I forgot to ask them to waive cost of the phone so I think I paid £19 upfront cost.

Also upgraded another line at the same time for my partner - to - Iphone 6, 64 Gb, silver, 15 GB data / unlimited calls / texts and entertainment package for £38 / month; no upfront cost for phone.

It's worth getting your PAC before waiting for them to call. My partner got her PAC a month ago and nobody called her - no big deal - a few weeks later we did a great deal.

I am about 3 or 4 months off the end date of a 12 month sim only contract and have stupidly managed to break my phone.
Can those who have managed to get a retentions deal early advise how they've done it exactly?

Got my PAC yesterday, even though I'm still in contract. Would have had an early termination fee to pay if I'd used it. Retentions called today and gave me what I wanted:

£24somethingpence/month.

Pretty much on a par with what I found online through the resellers, although this way the phone isn't a refurb (not that I'd mind) and I don't have to mess about with cashback.

Recently upgraded to a 12 month sim only plan and got told I could upgrade 3 months in, just tried to upgrade and got told I can't upgrade until Dec! Fuming
