Not bothered about the edge and that it too rich for me I'm afraid. Vodafone are going to have to do better for me. Thinking it's cheaper to buy the phone and just get a Sim deal.

I've just been speaking to Vodafone via online chat as my contract is due to expire at the end of this month. I want to change to a sim only contract so thought I would check if they could offer me a better deal than the ones on their website. It turns out they can't! Well they were prepared to offer me 1gb data for £13.60 a month. I was hoping for more data for less than that. Told them I was thinking leaving as 3 have better offers. They didn't seem particularly concerned! Might just ask for my PAC and see if that helps!

Eurotravaller added (now free to use inclusive mins, £3/day to use texts/data)
12 months premium entertainment pack (spotify,now tv, Sky sports)

50% discount applied, paying £13.50/month.

They will also release me from the deal free of charge if I wish to take a handset upgrade at any time.

I renewed my sim only contract last week and managed to get 50% discount for another 12 months.

£27 Tariff @ £13.50pm

12 Months Now TV/Spotify/Sky Sports

I took a SIM only deal for 12 months for two handsets.
Unlimited Minutes and Texts, 3GB data for £13.60pm, this includes discount for Vodafone Employee Advantage scheme.
Couldn't get a deal on an Iphone 6 or Samsung S6 other than the VEA above which Tesco were able to do without a discount, so decided against spending that amount every month and went with SIMO.

Unltd Texts & Mins
8 Gig Data with extra 2 Gig Data on top
Spotify for 24 months
Handset free

£32.40 a month

Going to sell the handset for around £600 based on current prices

£777.60 for full 24 months
Minus £600 for handset

So in effect paying £7.40 a month for the tarriff. And I used to have Spotify at £9.99 a month!
