Vodafone Retention Deals

Requested my PAC yesterday morning and got the expected call from retentions yesterday evening. They couldn't offer me what i wanted so i will be leaving. I wanted a network i can actually use a data allowance on (within 10 miles or so) and to be able to get a signal. Got the usual line about how they are improving services and 4G, blah, blah. Total BS in other words. I have been with Vodafone for over 10 years and in that time the coverage has got worse while other networks have massively improved. I think i would be long dead before voda ever do 4G in North Wales.0

My wife's contract is up at the beginning of Feb and as she's happy keeping her Iphone 4s, we were thinking of getting a SIM only deal. Has anyone got a decent package with Vodafone as a retainee? The website offers are pretty poor0

long time since i posted, but i just had "THE" call
offered 30% discount and a bit of patronizing in the process
ive always enjoyed 50% discount for over 3 years now im full price as ive just gone over my end of contract
no decent deals
looks like 13yrs or so are about to end
think the WRT team will do better0 -
Mine is up for upgrade time.
on a £47 a month for the Xperia Z, want the Z1 but not at £47 again.
prefer the 12 months but no good deals been offered to me via live chat, so requested my PAC code.0 -
No joy this time from Retentions. Last 2 years I've been given a 50% reduction on a SIM only deal usually costing £21pm. So usually paying about £10.50.
This year only offered the SIM only deal of £31pm for £15pm. Yes it was a great deal for unlimited minutes, unlimited texts and 4gb data but way more than I needed and £5pm more than I wanted to pay.
They wouldn't budge on giving me the 50% discount on the £21 tariff again and thought I was mad not to take the £15pm deal as everyone bites their hand off for it.
However no point in paying an extra £5pm for something I won't use so likely to go with Tesco Mobile at £10pm.0 -
I've just off the phone with them and was offered their £13pm tariff (900 mins, unlimited text, 500mb) for £9.7. I didn't take them up on the offer as I really wanted 1GB of data.
I will ring them again after christmas and see if they will give me what I want0 -
I along with many people before me requested my PAC code yesterday evening.
I received two calls from the 0808 retentions department however i was asleep then.
I'd appreciate it if somebody from retentions could get in contact with me again, if a vodafone representative from this forum could help me out i'd appreciate it a lot.
Out of curiosity has anyone managed to get a good deal with the note 3?0 -

Have a look here - http://www.carphonewarehouse.com/mobiles/choose-tariff/SAMSUNG_GALAXY_NOTE_3/UPGRADE?viewDealForAll=false&colourCode=WHITE&modelName=Samsung%20Galaxy%20Note%203&network=EE#b
Your best bet is to find a deal like that and then ask your company if they can either match a deal for new customers or do better. If not, whether they'll throw in something like free insurance, galaxy gear, etc.0 -

£27/month over 24 months for Note 3 with 4gb data:Ron_Stoppable wrote: »My minimum term is up in less than 30 days. Over the last week I've carefully read through the last 10 or so pages here - as it turns out the advice is highly valuable.
Yesterday I called Vodafone and asked for their best price on the phone and minimum tariff I wanted. It was much more expensive than what CarphoneWarehouse and mobile comparison sites had quoted me, so I said I'd reluctantly have to go elsewhere based on price, and requested my PAC.
That evening I got a text with my PAC but this morning I had a call offering me half price on a regular contract (applicable for 24 months) which makes it quite a deal indeed.
Naturally I'm very pleased with this outcome. Thanks to everyone on this thread! So not the drama.0
