Vodafone Retention Deals

ssimon: Your contract doesnt run out. Your minimum term ends. If you leave it then it will basically automatically be a rolling 30 day in that you can at any point give 30 days notice or request a pac and get a better retention deal. It sounds like you are suggesting changing your contract to a rolling 30 day then requesting a pac after a few months on that. Unless you have an issue with your current plan then there is no point in doing that and you may get a worse retention deal.0

MataNui: Hi, yes I know its the minimum term that ends, but I will be paying £41pm when the minimum term runs out as my discount runs out at the same time, I am planning to change to the rolling 30 day at £15pm as I will be getting same minutes etc as I am now for a lot less. This will only be for approx 3 month depending on when the phone I want comes out, so was just wondering if they still give retention deals when your on the cheaper rolling 30 day contracts or if it would work out better for me to stay as I am paying £41pm until the phone comes out so I get a better deal.0

ssimon. Its probably worth looking at changing then. After i posted i realised my situation isnt that different (although i wont be staying with the same provider anyway). When we take contracts with handsets we obviously pay for the handset too. I have seen sim only deals for less than half what i pay but lots more inclusive mins and data. I guess if you are paying £41 per month there will be much much chreaper options for you.0

Hi All. Thanks for your advice-retentions have offered me HTC One or S4 for £23.50 including unlimited mins, unlimited texts, 4gb data, 5* care and 2gb wifi but only on 3g. Still being told that they don't discount 4g deals (or any iPhone deals regardless of whether they are 3g or 4g tariffs). How are people accessing the 4g deals? Do you have business accounts with Vodafone or what? Only other option was sim only-unlimited mins, unlimited texts and 4gb data for £15.50/month. Not really sure what I'm going to go for right now.0

Hi Ant,
Was that the first and only offer he made to you? Also did he ask you how much you were looking for, is so how much did you say? And finally did he mention how much it would be for an s4 on unlimited mins, unlimited text and 1gb of data?
Thanks
Hello!
So I mentioned offers I'd seen online and basically they said they could knock 50% off the £47 tariffs online to bring HTC One/S4 down to £23.50 but couldn't do that for the cheaper tariffs as cost wouldn't cover handset. Didn't ask how much I was looking for but I said I'm interested in 4g and iPhone. No they didn't mention how much for an s4 on unlimited mins, unlimited text and 1gb of data.
I mentioned Tesco and Giff Gaff deals but best option seems to be the £15.50 deal mentioned previously. All they could do on iPhone is knock 20% off the iPhone 4g deals but that was it. They are still standing by not discounting 4g deals...the battle continues!
Any suggestions how to proceed? Thanks!0 -
After a fall out with Vodafone, I was offered and accepted, for £23.50, Unlimited Calls, Unlimited Text and 4gb of data per month
However my front page shows the full £47 as my Price Plan. Does the 50% discount come off at billing? As slightly worried that something has went wrong though I did receive a confirmation text

It has always shown like that over the last 2 years that I have had half price deals. The full price shows and the discount is applied on your bill.0 -
Thanks Jem
Was hoping that would be the case.
I also have a corporate discount, through my work. I presume I won't be entitled to this now with such a heavily discounted package?0 -
I have just been given offered (and accepted) the £47 discounted down to £23.50 offer for an S4 unlimited call & texts + 4GB of data, after having received my PAC code.
One thing to bare in mind which the vodafone chap advised was at the end of the 24 month fixed term the 50% discount will cease, so your monthly bill will jump to £47 unless you remember to change plan again. My £2 savings total for 2007 = £92, for 2008 = £124
My savings from money off coupons for 2007 = £67.97, for 2008 = £194.79
My £2 savings for 2009 (so far) = £130
My savings from money off coupons for 2009 = £593.08

Lee (Vodafone Company Rep),
I have just sent an email to the link provided in your profile page. The reference number is 5433726.
It has been years since I was offered anything at all decent from vodafone and I think it is beyond a joke now.
I look forward to hearing your thoughts.
