Lee - I was called 3 times today from 0808 002 4636 which I believe is Vodafone retentions. Unfortunately couldn't take their call as I was at work.
How do I get back in touch? Tried the email link in your profile but it says it's not manned anymore?0 -
Please could I have opinions ...
I have cancelled my SIM only contract, and it ends in just over a week. I had a pre-historic phone and only used it for texts and the occasional phone call. Was paying WAY over the top for it.
I've been offered a Samsung S3 mini for £10.50 (incl VAT) on a 24 month contract: 600 minutes, unlimited texts and 500 MB data with an option of going up to 1GB for £13.50 if necessary.
At first I thought the offer was quite good, but am re-thinking that given that Ant was offered an S4 for £23.50 including unlimited mins, unlimited texts, 4gb data, 5* care and 2gb wifi (on 3g).
What do you think about my offer?
The guy I spoke to this evening was hugely patronising when I told him that I'd read about S4s being offered for round about £21.00 - said I clearly didn't know much about phones. He said it was probably the mini - but Ant doesn't refer to the mini?
I was thoroughly unimpressed by his way of speaking to me. I might not know about phones, but I know what I've read.0 -

Hi jem16,
That is one of our numbers.
Could you try to email me again via our link?
To make sure it reaches me could you ensure that the code 'WRT135 - MSE' is quoted in the subject line?
Kind regards,
Lee

Hi,
I am on the £10.50 per month Sim Only deal with Vodafone. My contract term has now ended and as a result I have contacted Vodafone to ask if they would be willing to offer any other plans or offers, they have refused and stated that their Sim Only Plans are not able to be modified and are as advertised on their website, this was what I was told by their UK Deals Team on Twitter and also the Retentions team.
Yet if you chat to their sales team online as a new customer they instantly offer you a discount on the sim only deals which contradicts what they stated before.
I was therefore just wondering if anyone on here has been able to get any discounts / deals on a Sim Only Plan with Vodafone as a result of requesting your PAC?
Many thanks,0 -
Snowy66: Last year my wife gave 30 day cancellation notice on her 30 day sim only contract (she had been on it for about 18 months). She had seen a deal on phones4u website for an S3 (one of the best phones at that time) with orange. She got a call from vodafone retentions a couple of days later offering to beat the deal. So yes, you can get good upgrade offers from sim only plans. You need to give notice or request your pac though.0

My minimum term is up in less than 30 days. Over the last week I've carefully read through the last 10 or so pages here - as it turns out the advice is highly valuable.
Yesterday I called Vodafone and asked for their best price on the phone and minimum tariff I wanted. It was much more expensive than what CarphoneWarehouse and mobile comparison sites had quoted me, so I said I'd reluctantly have to go elsewhere based on price, and requested my PAC.
That evening I got a text with my PAC but this morning I had a call offering me half price on a regular contract (applicable for 24 months) which makes it quite a deal indeed.
Naturally I'm very pleased with this outcome. Thanks to everyone on this thread! So not the drama.0
