Vodafone Retention Deals

Sigh no phone call, which leaves me to think all I can do is wait until the PAC code runs out and then ask for it again. That's going to take over a fortnight though, I think I might be better off just going to Carphone Warehouse and seeing what I can get there. So so so annoying.Krishna442 wrote: »Ai Ai Ai, it's so frustrating having to play these games with them.
Just rang them up, spoke to a UK based person this time, best he could offer me was the
s4 mini
600 mins unlimted texts 500mb data
phone free 24 month contract £25/month
Which is just not acceptable when there are people here getting an S4 for less than that price, I said to him I've spoken to people who've got better prices for an S4 and he said it wouldn't make business sense for them to offer deals like that and they probably had up front phone costs to pay.
I asked for my PAC code again, he just retold me the original one I got, hopefully having gone through the UK system this time I'll get flagged up for a call back but I'm not holding my breath. If it isn't a new PAC code and it's just the old one I originally got then I probably won't end up in the system again for them to give me a call back.
Very frustrating.0 -

Hi Krishna442,
Without accessing your account I'm afraid I couldn't say what we could do and what we couldn't.
As you'll appreciate upgrades deals are quoted on a individual basis and so deals which have been posted about by some users on MSE may not be available to others.
As promised, I'll reply to your email later today.thanks vcr. I ended up ringing them back as it was 3 days and i still hadnt heard from them despite the second guy saying 48 hours at the latest.
Anyway this latest guy said that it had been looked into and indeed on the recording I was clearly told £23.50. So thats good.
Shame I had to chase them up for their error though.
One question I have though is that I wanted to change to a 12 month contract but was told I wouldnt necessarily be offered the same deal after 12 months. Even if it is the same phone. Is that true?
thanks
Hi wibs,
Although it's a shame to see that you had to chase things up it's good to see that your query has been resolved.
If you were to switch to a 12 month commitment we would need to change your price plan to reflect this. In addition, there may be a contribution required for the phone.
Kind regards,
Lee

Just had a call from vodafone offering an early upgrade. I have just over 3 months left on a 12 month contract for a samsung galaxy s3 1200 mins unlimited texts and 1 or. Gig wii (can't remember what as I never go near the limit). So in totl £135 till the end of my contract. I agreed and was told it was put through, for a £9 sim only for 200 texts 300 minute and 250 mb moblie internet starting at midnight.this would come to £135 for 15 months. Thought it was too good to be true. Was asked about upgrading and what phone and after numurous attempts to get the fee for phones waved, said no thanks and was told "ok" your sim only has gone through and sorry I couldn't get you the phone you wanted.i thought I had an excellent deal.
5 minutes later another call saying sorry that the sim only deal had finished but I could have a similair deal for £13 which i declined.
So apart from wasted battery life a wasted 30 minutes on the phone.

I am looking for a retention deal for a Iphone 5s. My contract ends in 14 days.
I was offered
unlimited min and texts on 3G network. 1Gb data £79 upfront £33.60 per month OR
Unlimited min texts 4GB data 4G network. 37.60 Per month with £79 upfront
That's a 20% discount. Should I take this or not.
As of now I have requested my PAC code.
Or should look for a Samsung S4 deal. sell the phone and buy the 5s directly.
I feel that Vodafone wont negotiate any further on the Iphone 5S. I would really appreciate any advice.0 -
Take it. I'm quite surprised they offered you 20% off in the first place tbh0

I sometimes wonder if it is worth carrying on with Vodafone. None of this was shown in my bill. I have just had an email back, from India, saying that the sure signal has been credited but that line rental will be £37 per month!
The same happened with my other daughters phone last year!
Lee, from Vodafone Web relations has been in touch a few times and has now sorted this issue for me and will even check next month's bill as well. Many thanks Lee, a pleasure dealing with you.0 -
