Hi, I saw it mentioned on a previous post that depending on hardware availability Vodafone push better deals on certain hansets. I called on Friday and inbound seemed to be really pushing the HTC One with good deals and not budging on the S4. When would be a good time to try for an S4 ?0 -
No more 18mth contracts, no offer of any deals. Can't afford a 12mth and will not sign up to a 24mth.
This is standard amongst all providers. 24 month contracts are to subsidise the more increasingly more expensive handsets. I don't see anything out of the ordiinary here. What really irks me is that my son has received his upgrade, a couple of days ago - they knocked the remaining 2 months off his existing contract, said he could upgrade again in March 2015 (18mths), when they would knock off the remaining 6mths of his contract,
But he's still in a 24 month contract....... he can't leave after 18 months, they're just offering him an early upgrade.effectively giving him an 18mth deal with an HTC One for £39 a month - unltd mins and texts 6GB data-
Ouch, pretty expensive, even with the high data.
Read back a few posts in this page and someone got
HTC one
Unlimited minutes
Unlimited texts
4gb data
Extra 4gb data for the 4g promotion for 2 years
Spotify/sky sports for 2 years
All for £23.50
Your son is effectively paying for this "early upgrade" option, so not such a great deal.0 -
Does anyone have a number or ideally an email address for customer complaints.
Basically on wed eve daughter did iOS 7 software update on her out of 24 month contract with vodaphone and basically it broke the operating system. She rang Vodafone went thro various processes and had to take it to apple store who said phone was a gonna they couldn't do anything and take up consumer rights path with Vodafone
She had been on a sim only contract since her iPhone contract had ended whilst she waited for new iPhone 5 to come out
On thurs after breaking old phone with update she upgraded to 5c on understanding that it would be delivered Friday. Phone still not here. Left with broken old phone which she could have sold if it were working. Numerous calls to Vodafone. New phone promised tomorrow but have been told that as old phone is out of warranty i have no rights under consumer rights Anyone know how I stand. Thanks in advance guysSave 12k in 2015 member 187. £62.50/60000 -
Read this thread for a week or so getting worried that my attempt to get a good upgrade (currenty got samsung galaxy s2)was going to fail. I was biding my time but there were so many conflicting stories I thought Id bite the bullet
Finally rang them up today:
I now have a 2 year deal
Samsung Galaxy S4 free
4G
6GB(unlimited for 3 months)
spotify premium for all 24 months
£23.50 p/m
I presume this is a good deal. The only thing I was thinking was should I take the 12 month deal. It is more expensive but I could sell the phone in 12 months for 2 to £300 quid I suppose. Is there another decent phone due out in around a year?0 -
I forgot to add originally i was offered the samsung s4 with 1GB and no 4G or spotify thing for £16.50 p/m
So they will definitely do it for under £19 contrary to what someone said previosuly. It is all to do with being on the 50% discount on your account.0 -

Hi this is a retentions thread. Try starting your own thread and you will get more responses. But from the sounds of it the old phone is over 2 years old so Vodafone have no obligation to fix it, and the new I phones have only been out a few days so delays are understandable .0 -

are you sure it's not 6 months spotify on that tariff?0 -
you got me suitably paranoid that I rang them back and they said it is definitely for the full 24 months and actually even better its not 6 gig its actually 8!!0
