Argh, they called this morning but I couldn't take the call. Hopefully they'll ring again!0

so, its upgrade time again and just wondered if any of you had nay joys with vodafone price-matching or beating tariffs/offers from other networks?
just that I've been considering adding an ipad to my mobile contract, and 02 currently seem to have the best offer of £47 p/m for 8gb data on the BB Q10 + 2gb data on a 32gb ipad (both devices are free I think...or may be £29 for the ipad, cant recall off the top of my head...) still, combined, that's better than the £38 p/m vodafone want for the Q10 alone (and thats only for 2gb mobile data, then its looking to be about £20-£30 again for a 16gb ipad).0 -

THe problem is we cant never tell discount the customer get is true or not.
But one thing is for sure - the longer the customer stays with VF, the better the incentives are. So the discount factor/credit applied to the account for the contract terms varies widely, so there is no way of checking
However , I do think £19 per month and S4 for free is not possible anywhere ?
Last month I got an S3, unlimited minutes, unlimited texts, 2GB data, 1GB BT wifi for £19 per month. But I've been with VF for 5 years so maybe that does make a difference to the retention deals available, plus I was haggling with the retentions department for quite some time.0 -

How long youve been a customer has no bearing. I did an s4 the other the day at £19. My colleague just did one at 21 with a 100 credit on the account cos we ran out of sure signals that the customer wanted so effectively £17 a month really. Entirely possible0

I'm leaving VF, after more than 15yrs. No more 18mth contracts, no offer of any deals. Can't afford a 12mth and will not sign up to a 24mth. So have one PAC and will request the one for my second contract in a week or so.
What really irks me is that my son has received his upgrade, a couple of days ago - they knocked the remaining 2 months off his existing contract, said he could upgrade again in March 2015 (18mths), when they would knock off the remaining 6mths of his contract, effectively giving him an 18mth deal with an HTC One for £39 a month - unltd mins and texts 6GB data- about £31 after his VEA discount.
Great deal for him, but nothing for me, except - yes certainly here's your PAC - goodbye.
Everyone at VF that i spoke to seems to have lost the will to live. I was surprised, as i thought they would be fighting to get new customers and keep existing ones, whenn EE must be stealing custom from them.0
