Requested my PAC on the 1st August, got a call from retentions on the morning after, here is the deal:

    £19 p/m
    24 month contract
    HTC One handset £50
    600 mins
    unlimited texts
    500mb data

I really wanted the phone for free, but that was the best they could do. I got the handset, but decided to stick to my guns and cancelled the upgrade. I sent the handset back, and had no confirmation from vodafone about received it.

I called them today to make sure they received the returned handset and I was not mistakenly entered onto a new contract, and was asked what would it take to make me stay with vodafone? I said the same deal as before but with the handset for free - they said okay, but charged £4.95 delivery. I'm happy with that!

Unbelievable Ashnojutsu and all they would give me was 300 mins, u/l texts and 250bg for £21! They must think I'm stupid or something !
  • Thought I had already posted my upgrade deal - from June.

Despite completing the deal in June, I realised that the agreed discount was not being applied to my account, so, following a request for my upgrade call to be listened to the 50% discount has now been applied to my account and I have been refunded the July / August overcharges.

    Upgrade:

    £23.50 / month
    Galaxy S4 (no charge)
    Unlimited texts
    Unlimited minutes
    4 GB data
    BT wifi 1 GB
  • Does anyone have any experience with the new 4G tariffs that have come along?

I requested a PAC and had got called yesterday. When I asked about 4G, the guy quoted me £31 for 4GB data, with unlimited calls and text. When I asked 'Isn't that the full retail price?' he flatly said yes, and that they couldn't offer any discount on it.

I'm was slightly tempted as they're giving away free spotify for a year, but at £31 SIM only, it's pretty pricey.

Had a call from Lee yesterday. Wouldn't budge on any SIM only deal - can only have what's offered to everyone. Quidco told me I could keep my number and take the SIM only deal with them. Lee said I couldn't. Been back to check with Quidco and I can't. After having my number for 15 years+ I'm not changing it now. Not happy with Vodafone at all. They didn't offer me a good package if I had a new phone. 300 mins for £21 a month is the same as I have been paying for the past two years. A SIM only deal is £9 a month but with half the data and 500 texts. Texts aren't a problem because I don't go over. I want 500 mins minimum at least.

In effect despite having Lee on the forum it hasn't proved fruitful to me whatsoever despite others being offered so called good deals.

Got a text message a couple of days ago offering an upgrade to 4G for £5 more / month.

Having definitely confirmed that the 50% discount agreed in June is now being correctly applied to my account I contacted Vodafone about upgrading to 4G and I now have

    £28.50 / month

Unlimited data for 3 (more) months
    Unlimited Texts
    Unlimited Minutes
    8 GB data
4G speeds from August 29th (in theory)
Plus free Spotify premium for 2 years

Even if the 4G speeds don't work out I will be getting an extra 4 GB of data / month for an additional £5.

  • Could you could take the s4 deal, sell the phone, buy an Iphone 5 sim free and use the s4 sim in the new phone?

New deal which is 50% off their advertised web price:

    Samsung Galaxy Fame (free)

I've received 2 deals recently (one for me, one for the missus).

    Nokia Lumia 925 (32GB) - free
    Unlimited minutes
    Unlimited texts
    1GB internet
    £29 / month for 24 months

    HTC 8X (black) - free
    600 minutes
    Unlimited texts
    500mb internet
    £16.80 / month for 24 months

Was also offered unlimited/unlimited/1GB on the HTC deal for £21.75, but figured we could pay the £5 extra a month if she went over the 500mb or save the £5/month if she didn't.
