Of course we have a discount - that's the whole point of a retentions deal.
I have on a Sim Only deal;
600 minutes
Unlimited texts
1.5gb mobile data ( 500mb + 1Gb added on free)
Free Vodafone Sure Signal (normal cost £100)
for £10.25pmMake sure You check your first bill as you're probably in for a surprise.
Sure Signal arrived within a week of organising the deal. As to my bill I've been paying £10.25 since January - no surprises. Everything was as promised.I also mentioned Vodafone insider. They don't know how he/she is and he/she is free to give his/her views.
Of course they would deny all knowledge. However I would doubt they know nothing considering Vodafone reps post here too.0 -
So if you're unhappy unhappy about their tax situation go somewhere else. Surely their tax approach mirrors what you expect from them when you come to upgrade.0

I also feel that surely all businesses are there to make a profit. Surely it's very naive to think otherwise. If so, set up a cooperative mobile network. You'll need to invest a shed load of money every single day to keep up with customers demand. If I was a Vodafone shareholder I'd expect them to give me the best return possible. You can't have it both ways. If they're SO bad, go to another network. If you don't like their tax situation, lobby your MP. It really is as simple as that0

And of course you could argue that taking out insurance and then cancelling it within the seven days that the law allows is just like their using the legal system to avoid paying taxes.
So if your point is that Vodafone is entitled to use the law to their best advantage then by extension so are their customers. Buy insurance, and cancell insurance within a seven day period, just as the law allows; the customer then pay nothing and he gets his phones cheaper. That sounds fair.0 -
Sorry for the absence guys. I'll try and keep on as much as possible. Works been crazy. Glad to see some of you getting your deals. 25.50 for the s4 is bang on. Don't worry about my job. I've been thinking of leaving for a while anyway. They can go !!!! themselves. If only you guys knew half the crap that goes on here.
Someone mentioned earlier getting cutoff when requesting a PAC. Inbound do that all the time. Get names first then if that still happens when you say PAC code. Report it.
Regards to callbacks. Depends on the advisor. Very unlikely because of the way we are targeted on the dialler. We'll normally give it one shot. [text removed by MSE Forum Team] Try and find the easy customers. So be professional, clear and concise but at the same time you lead the call and be firm
Oh and yes not sure what that3 month this was about. You can cancel insurance the next day no issues. Doesn't affect the deal. Same with any bolt ins like extra data etc. as long as the core tariff doesn't change as the line rental discount goes against the tariff code on that in the internal

voda insider youre back cool. Some of the guys are exactly as you describe. i was told this month the dept were over the headline target of 48% etc etc.... the point abt being asain is really interesting....
voda really messing abt if thats the case.
After my initial call o got another call yesterday were the outbound retentions guy said he had no leeway at all . when i mentioned a few days ago i was called by another adviser offering 30 percent off he said he had to go and would call back.
is the dept over thr revenue target and hurting their bonuses this month ? and whats the best way to add insurance they guy i talked to got suspicious0 -

A funny thing though the first retentions person I was dealing with was a female, offered me whatever and I asked her to call back the following evening, she said she would. However, it was some man who called back and after a bit of bartering we agreed the deal. Now here is the interesting bit.
The next morning the female called back and appoligzed for not calling as promised, when I told her that one of her colleagues had called and we done the deal I think she sounded a bit surprised.
Did someone play dirty and swipe her commission.?0 -
She basically didnt code it rightbin the diallier.probably clicked customer thinking or something like answerphone. So it got cycled again to another adviser. She must have called you manuallyy off the dialler by noting down your number. Which by the way is completely against procedure due to data protection and security implications butmanagers will always turn a blind eye if targets are being met. They get the average of there team so its in there best interest to bend rules. Dont worry about the girl. Sh'll learn for nxt time.0

@VodafoneInsider
I've had to send my phone back as the finish on it was shocking; sharp edges, gaps and glue on the side panel. I received a replacement phone which is also being returned.
I requested to cancel the contract as it was within 7 days. I was told that an envelope would be sent out to me and when it was returned to them the contract would be cancelled. I'm still waiting for this envelope which I requested on Wednesday.
Where does this leave me now? Will I be put back on my original price plan and have to request my pac code in order to renegotiate a deal? The phone is brilliant but I'm not prepared to accept a £500 phone that has been finished so poorly.0
