Thanks ill check those out. I only use about 20 mins a month so have no need for 600! Looking at what they offered its 600 as they added 300 voda to voda minutes, I'll never use them.
And no I don't live in a remote area! I live in the West Midlands/Worcestershire borders but whilst I can get a full signal at home with everyone other than three Vodafone is the only one that gets a strong signal in the office at work, others are so patchy.
I'll have another chat with them see if I can get them down to £10.50 a month.
We had talk mobile on one of the works phones and it didn't seem as good but will check.
Ovivo works on the vodafone network and they give you free every month: 100 minutes, 100 texts, and 400mb.
It is PAYG so you can port out if you ever get another offer.
Good customer services
If you every need a bit more than 100 minutes, the cost per additional minute is something like 8p mobile or 5p regular landline or you buy bundles.
If you have a smart phone you can use WeQ4U for any 08 calls you need to make - converts them into regular landline numbers (and if there is a queue, they can queue for you so you don't use up your free minutes while you are in the queue).
No point in paying for what is free!0 -
Im coming up for renewal on my 2 contracts now.
I had 2x galaxy s's on 300 minutes, unlimited texts, 1gb data, 24 month contract for £30 each a month ( therefore spending £60 a month). The first contract is up in next few weeks, second a month or so later.
I got a call from Vodafone a few weeks back asking me what I would like to upgrade to, I told them that I was interested in the S3. They told me that for the same deal it would cost me £35 a month on each line.
I pointed out that I was trying to cut the costs, not increase them. I pointed out the offers on this site but they said they couldnt offer anything like the deals on her.
Hope they ring back with a better offer.LBM: March 2012 DEBT: 7500 DFW DATE: Jan 14

Hi dandan666
As I stated earlier, I really would just ask them to offer what you have in mind. I asked for unlimited talk and texts and 1gb data for £24 and that's all I can afford, is it possible? They said yes.
If you have an idea what you want then ask them, that's been the best way I have found.Nil Satis Nisi Optimum

Hi
I am days away from the last 30 days of my 2 year contract. I'm looking to save costs as my partner is on Maternity leave.
I currently pay £25pm for 600m/500mb/UL SMS
I am thinking of going to three and getting a
Essential Internet SIM 600 12 months.
1GB data
600 minutes
5000 texts
From
£12.90
a month.
+ Quidco at £45.83 works out to £9 a month.
What kind of deal can I expect from Voda retentions? I have a IP5 sim free, I would like a Iphone for my wife even a 4 or 4s would suffice.0 -

no one can really tell you what to expect. call them up and ask. if they don't play ball ask for your pac and see if they call you with a better offer. they may, they may not.
im not sure if vodafone will offer you a deal on an iphone. these are usually set by apple and on the rare occasion someone does get a reduction, they are usually high spenders. having another handset in mind, may increase your options. BUT i am confused? you talk about wanting to reduce your costs and SIM only plans, then mention iphones>?0 -
Renewed my contract today. Personally I feel it's a blinding deal.
Sim only 12 months
Vodafone sure signal box
Unlimited minutes
Unlimited texts

Their retentions dept offered me the above sim-only deal (with 2GB data instead of 3GB) for £22 pm. Told 'em to shove it :mad:0 -

tbh, I did tell them about the offer that t-mobile had advertised. Unlimited everything for £16
3gb data is pretty damn good. I use Google maps all the time.0 -

Thanks mate, will give them another call. Can you confirm that they gave you 3GB data a month instead of 2GB? Also where did you see the t-bag unlimited calls/texts/data sim-only plan for £16 pm? I see it here for £21 pm. Cheers0 -

The offer from t-mobile isn't running anymore. It was at that price for 3 days I think.
Now, the only thing i'm a bit hmmm about is that I was told £17. I know it's only a pound but I think i will investigate on monday.0
