My girlfriend was after a Samsung Galaxy S2 and I phoned up on her behald a couple of times last week and best they could do was £21 per month. Her contract is now in the last 30 days so phoned again last night and got an S2 for £50 up front and £15 per month for 300 minutes, unlimited texts and 250MB of data. I used the deals available via Affordable mobiles (Found via MSE) for £15.50 per month so overall costs for 24 months is £410.
Good deal in my opinion? Thoughts? I said at start of call what other deal was and said best I had been offered last week was £21 so could I get PAC or could they do better.0 -
I've read quite a few negative things about mobile brokers (affordable mobiles etc) on this site as well as a few others, so would be hesitant to buy through one.
Personally I would have gone for a newer handset than the S2. By the time the contract is over, the handset will be around 4 years old.
Have you gone through with the deal yet and received the handset?0 -

I've heard bad things about resellers too, that was why I was happy to get a similar offer via Vodafone. I know the phone is nearly 2 years old but is still a good spec and money is tight for my girlfriend just now with being on maternity leave so sure it will do fine.0 -
I have 6 lines on my VF contract.
2 are due for renewal.
I wanted the iPhone5 16gb on the high end red tariff - I understand they cannot offer any deals with Apple products.(24m)
I also wanted the Samsung Galaxy Note II on a 12m £52 a month tariff - I do not want to contribute £99 to the cost of the phone - I am paying the highest price plans on all my devices and have no issues with the service/network except when I was referred to the Twitter deals page they said what is on the website is what I can have, basically treating my upgrade/renewal as a new connection.
I pay Vodafone just short of £2400 in line rental a year across all my lines (on the 1 account - personal not business) and feel they do not care/wish to retain me as a customer. As I mentioned I do not want any offer on the iPhone or the line rentals, just don't see why at the point of my 3rd renewal I should contribute to the cost of the phone, when I will be paying them plenty.
Maybe one of the VF relations people on the forum can offer me some further advice as the e-Forum for VF is a bit of a joke, with 3 VF Staff/Mods not reading my post correctly, spotting the word Apple and immediately spitting the same nonesense regarding not able to do anything with Apple... I've already mentioned that I don't want nothing in regards the iPhone!!
They are becoming a bit of a joke and if I leave to go to o2 - the deal is much sweeter but I'd rather all my bills in once place, however, I will move (already have my PACs) if they refuse to offer me some kind of carrot to stay. - I may enquire how much it would cost to move all my lines, as to be fair I have a Galaxy SIII , Ipad 3, iPhone 5 16GB still contracted, I could sell the devices to pay off the termination fee's and set them all up on o2. - Actually just thought of that and will see how much I can get doing this.
If VF rep could advise I'd be grateful.0 -

12.30pm ish, I get a call from the vodafone loyalty team. They wanted to know why I was leaving them. I explained and they offered me the following
£42 a month for Unlimited Mins, Texts and 2GB data on a 12 month contract
or
£22 a month for Unlimited Mins, Texts and 2GB data on a 24 month contract
I chose the £22 a month contract.
I was previously paying £37 a month for 300mins, unlimited texts and 500 megabombs. Funnily enough, I was going call them next week to try and get a deal.0 -
