it will be a naff deal if not in the last 30 daysDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

hello all,
my contract runs out on 16 april but can upgrade from 27 jan. i want the 32gb iphone 5 but voda are much more expensive than 02. just wondering what success people have had getting them to match deals?
i am happy to cancel and go with 02 but i will be on holiday at the time my contract runs out and want the new phone to take with me so i would need to pay 02 and voda for the 1st month so cheaper to stay!:(
also what is this pac code everyone mentions? bit of a novice when it comes to this!:o
thanks:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j0 -
A PAC code allows you to transfer your existing mobile phone number from one mobile phone network provider to another mobile phone provider, so you don't have to change numbers and avoid a whole load of hassle giving a new number to everyone.
If you're on twitter, get in touch with @vodafoneukdeals and they may be able to match the o2 deal.0 -
thanks a lot for the info
i will get someone to show me how to use it next week and fingers crossed :money: will report back how i get on....

What tariff were you on previously? And how long had you been with Vodafone? Trying to find out why they offer those deals to some customers abut not others...
I was on a.slightly cheaper tariff before. Don't know if it had a name but it was 200 mins, unlimited texts and 500mb data, approx £25 pm. That was my first contact with vodafone so I've been with them for two years.
I didn't have to fight to get that deal, just told them roughly what I was looking for and they agreed.0 -
OK here goes..
I have been following this thread for the last two months as my contract is ending on the 27th feb.
Last year I tried to haggle and get the iphone 4s on a good deal but failed and I requested my PAC code. A week later, they rang and offered me the S2 for £36 a month (300 mins, unlimited texts, 500mega bombs) on a 12 month contract. I was happy with this.
Two weeks ago, I asked for the S3 and they offered me the following
£42 a month for unlimited mins, texts and 1gb data 12 months contract
or
£27 a month for unlimited mins, texts and 1gb data 24 months contract
I declined and by mistake asked to cancel, rather than ask for my PAC code. So today I rang up and requested my PAC code. The advisor said i should wait a week or two as my contract ends on the 27th. However I will ring them up on sunday (27th of Jan) and request it again.0 -
I was offered the unlimited mins, texts and 2gb data 24 months contract for £31 a month (free Galaxy S3 handset). I refused it though and will cancel my contract early in the next week or so.0

I think I was on almost the same deal (except 300 mins except 200 mins) and had been with Vodafone for the same amount of time as you had been. But I almost never went over my allowed usage, so perhaps I wasn't seen as much of a valued customer as you were - not that I know if you went over your usage...
Nope, very rarely, and if I did go over it was only by a few pence. My bill was never more than £27.0
