The guy I spoke to wasn't really for listening and was very vague when I asked if I could cancel my contract over the phone. He had to ask his manager and eventually said I could.
I think I will get my PAC code and move to Giffgaff and buy my own PAYG handset for more flexibility. I was reasonably happy to stay with VF but the "loyalty" package isn't great and I would be tied in for another 2 years.0 -
I had two twelve month contracts with Voda .
Just renewed both with an offer of free S3 - unlimited calls ,unlimited texts and 2 gb data for £21 a month ..These will be 2 year contracts.
I cancelled both contracts using web chat on their site.
Retentions phoned me a couple of days later.0 -
Have Vodafone stopped doing 18 months contact? I'm into the last 30 days of my current contract so gave them my notice to cancel and requested my Pac last Friday.
Got a phone call today and was offered either 12 months or 24 months contract for a samsung galaxy s3....600 mins, unlimited texts and 2gb data for 39.99 a month based on a 12 month contract.......needless to say I turned it down.0 -
I don't think you're actually speaking to retentions. Retentions will call you AFTER you've requested a PAC, you cannot call them.
Hi, the guy I spoke to yesterday said he was from Retentions so I have to take his word for it.
Called them again this morning (again Retentions) and going round in circles so asked for my PAC number. Typically the deal I was offered on Saturday (which I was considering) was not written up in my notes. However the lesser deals were!0 -

As already said, the proper Retentions department cannot be called by you as they don't take incoming calls.
Now that you have requested your PAC, someone from retentions will call you.0 -

Just got the following from them
Nokia Lumia 800 (free)
600 mins
ultd texts
500MB data
£15 per month
I know there's a new one out but it's on a pricier contract and I'm pretty happy with that one.
Ok, I take it back. Wife waited in for the phone (which was to be hers) and it arrived in good time with good notice. However, they've sent the wrong handset. I'm returning it to them and will be getting a PAC code when it's back there. Bit annoyed that due to this !!!!-up, I'm going to have to wait another 2 weeks before I can go grab a deal.
EDIT: Seriously? !!!! is censored? For !!!!'s sake!Space for rent, apply within - Free trial on Thanks button though0 -

So they sent the wrong handset? A bit annoying but these things happen - hardly cause to cancel the entire contract0 -

On it's own, no but coupled with the non-negotiable price increases over our previous 2 years with them and 2 x 1 wk outages in local service, I think that's giving them a fair crack at keeping us.Space for rent, apply within - Free trial on Thanks button though0
