Well your advice regarding the PAC code worked brilliantly. I requested my PAC today as I was genuinely considering leaving them and going to Giff Gaff or maybe a better deal on another network. Again they were unable to offer me a competitive deal on the phone but they gave me my PAC about lunch time and then just as I was about to leave work I got a call from outbound retentions offering me either:

    SIM Only
    600Mins, 5000txts, 500MB Internet at £10.25 (half price from £20.50)

    Or

    Samsung Galaxy SIII free
Unlimited mins, unlimited txts, 2GB internet at £26 (£16 discount).

Suffice to say I went for the SIII and it should be with me tomorrow, well chuffed!

Thanks to everyone who has posted advice on this forum - saved me a fair chunk of money!

    Just accepted:

    Samsung S3 - free handset
    Unlimited minutes
    Unlimited texts
    1GB data
300 minutes per month to 0845 type numbers
    25 / month including VAT

Figured others have posted better deals but this seemed fair to me.
  • Offered 2 deals from Vodafone retentions after I threatened to leave. They rang me back the day after I requested a PAC code.

    1. iPhone 4S 32GB Free Handset
RED Data Plan. Unlimited Mins, Texts and 2GB Data.
Free 100 picture messages. 24 months.
    £29.45 a month

    2. iPhone 5 16GB Free Handset
RED Plan. Unlimited Mins, Texts and 1GB Data.
Free 100 picture messages. 24 months
    £37.00 a month

Which is best!!!!!! I cannot decide at all.

Well bearing in mind you'll have the phone 2 years do you want/need any of the new features of the iPhone 5 (of which there don't seem many apart from the bigger screen)? Its over £150 more expensive...

Not really a retention deal, but I've just upgraded online to a Galaxy Note II free of charge. Here's the deal:

    Free phone
    600 minutes
    Unlimited texts
    500mg of data
£41 on a 12 month contract (the same as what I'm paying at the moment)

    Is this a good deal?

Who is this with? I have been trying to get a free galaxy note 2 on a 12 month contract and not having any luck. All i can find is £51 a month for 12 month and £99 for the handset

  • Do you have to give 30 days notice and then phone up to get PAC code?

You give 30 days to cancel as in cut off the line.
You can request a PAC at any time but if you use it you'll be charged to the end of your contract term, so best to request a PAC during the last month of the contract ish.

It's with Vodafone, I logged into my account went to upgrades selected 'keep my price plan' then selected the note 2... I couldn't believe it when it said I could have the phone for free! I was half expecting an email from them telling me there had been a mistake, but no two days later the phone turned up!

This was two months before the end of my contract :)

I've since checked my account and it confirms I am able to upgrade this number on the 20th October 2013 :D
