Hi guys hope you can help,
My contract terminates on 13/01/2013
I am due for an upgrade now, and the upgrade team is adamant they cannot do a better deal on the iPhone 5 and they are set in stone.
Even when I present them with the Quidco offer for new customers and ask for at least the £50 as credit they refuse to do anything.
I am only going to stay with VF if they sort me out a deal. Otherwise I am happy to get a giff gaff sim and wait till something takes my eye. I quite like the Nexus 4 and the £12 giff gaff sim with unlimited internet looks amazing especially with there FUP on the internet.
Should I wait till late December and ask for my PAC ? Or is it worth trying for retentions now. Some say it is better to wait.
I am on a £36 contract but normally spend about 45-50
Also if I get a deal can I then apply my VEA discount offered at my work on top?0 -

Called earlier for PAK as contracts up in a month.
Got the call back - offered the red data package - unlimited minutes/txts and 2gb data for £21 and free black S3.
Tried to get down to a lower tarrif but couldnt go lower due to handset price.
Getting delivered tomorrow.0 -
"free black S3."
The S3 doesn't come in black? Maybe you miss heard and they are sending you an S2, quick ring them and confirm its an S3!0 -
I thought the guy meant the silver one but I thought that was LTE only.
I did check when I was on the phone call- http://shop.vodafone.co.uk/shop/mobile-phone/samsung-galaxy-s3-black-16gb-paym
Only been out a few weeks.0 -

they do black and red now. must have heard all those who didnt like the blue.
If i may ask when did you apply for your pac code. I am waiting till im in the last month of my contract but getting itchy feet.0 -
I'm currently just past the earliest date when I can renew, I've had the first phonecall after tweeting them and asked what they can offer in comparison to a deal on the Virgin Website for an S3. I was advised by Vodafone to take the Virgin deal as they can't get anywhere near it. Whilst I presume that's the truth I think his 'we' refers to him and not Vodafone, especially their retentions team.
Should I now ask for my PAC or leave it until my contract has around 5 weeks remaining?
I thought their Twitter team could offer similar deal to retentions but I'm thinking reading your post that's not the case, when I asked for a good sim-only deal they just linked me to their website.
I don't know how people are getting such ridiculous deals with unlimited calls, texts and 2GB internet - it seems a real fight just to get an ok sim-only deal. My last year was 600 minutes, 1GB internet and unlimited texts for £15.50 a month (now back up to £20.50), it's crazy people are paying the same price but also getting a top end phone and far more minutes and internet.

I called this morning at 8.30am, missed call back from retentions around 11am but got second around noon.
I thought I was just into my last month but it wasnt, my contract was up 28th Dec.
My package will change over tonight, refund of whatever %age of this month on old contract. End date of new contract 28th Dec 2014.
Now to try to sell my iPhone4, theres a cex localy but they dont give much.0 -

Its all about asking for you PAK and getting a call from a different team, thats the last stop before you leave and they can offer the best deal. You just have to ignore the offers you are given when you call in.
My offer last year thats just ending was for sim only as my iPhone4 was fine and was recently replaced by apple. Again it was a half price deal, 600mins, unlimited txt and 1.5gb of data for £13 a month.0
