    "free black S3."

The S3 doesn't come in black? Maybe you miss heard and they are sending you an S2, quick ring them and confirm its an S3!
Yes they do. I got 2 last week.

Its all about asking for you PAK and getting a call from a different team, thats the last stop before you leave and they can offer the best deal. You just have to ignore the offers you are given when you call in.

My offer last year thats just ending was for sim only as my iPhone4 was fine and was recently replaced by apple. Again it was a half price deal, 600mins, unlimited txt and 1.5gb of data for £13 a month.

Its PAC not PAK btw :P

    Hi all,

I have been a Vodafone customer now for almost 8 years. My contract is up on 5/01/13.

I noticed a few people asking about PAC codes and getting good deals.

I tried this earlier this morning as I was after an iphone 4s deal. The lady asked why I was leaving blah blah blah, and asked how much I would pay to stay with them.

She said there is no way I could have a contract for that phone without paying more than the £25 I pay now. I did tell her that others have had better deals. No joy!

The lady said she would put the notice of termination on my account and to ring up on the 5th January to get my PAC code. Does this now look like I am going to be unlucky and not get offered a good deal?

Btw, I have also emailed them about termination of contract.

Ask for your PAC now (or in a week or so to tie in with the last month). THEN you'll get calls from retentions with the good deals!

Thanks for the tip, I am sure I did ask about the PAC and if I remember rightly I was advised that they would charge me around £29 on my final bill if I got it now.

They'll only charge you that if you USE it, not if you just get it. Its the key to getting the retentions calls.

Thank you very much for your help. That clarifies things now. I shall certainly ring next week and request it. :)

I was quite disappointed when Vodafone _gave_ me the PAC as Orange had put me straight through to retentions. Anyway a day later they rang back!

It was the idea of telling me I had to pay £29 to get the PAC that got me thinking. The Lady never told me that I would only be charged if I used it.

I certainly wouldn't be leaving it until the day before I was disconnected to get my PAC code, which is when she told me to ring and get it.

    Hi
I asked for my pac a week ago. Ignored several calls from 0808 number and I answered today.
Today I got black Samsung sIII, basically Red packacge ( unlimited calls, texts, 2gb internet and 2gb BT openzone WIFI) and one of the brand new vodafone sure signal all for £22 for 24 months.

    Very happy with that
