Basically the rep asked why I was looking to leave and I said I was fed up with having a sporadic signal in my house and that I had seen that 3 had a deal for £24 per month for an S III with the same as above.

She then offered me a new Vodafone Sure Signal (£100) for free
and then without any fight asked me what colour I would like my S III and said that I could have Unlimited minutes, Unlimited texts, 2gb WIFI and 2GB BT openzone for £22 for 24 Months. It is discounted and should cost £42 and I get the discount for 2 years.

The line rental was confirmed in a text sent immediately I accepted.

After turning retentions 1st offer down (caught me off guard as I had not fully lined up a suitable offer elsewhere) i am into the last 5 days of my contract, no further call from retentions but plenty from the upgrade team with a worse offer I have took the plunge and asked for my unlock code which I should have by Friday and opted for a sim only offer from Tesco mobile on a 30 day rolling contract 10 years with voda coming to an end, least I will be saving 15 quid a month to the phone I'm after comes down in price.

Got my PAC Code this morning and just took a call from retentions 10 minutes ago. I got offered free Samsung S3 with unlimited minutes, texts and 1gb data with 2gb wifi. I said this would be perfect if he could up it to 2gb of data and he agreed - all for £24 a month. I'm happy with that!

Well requested PAC code just know- guy couldn't offer me anything there and then so am waiting to see if retentions give me a call

Just had my call from retentions and got Galaxy S3 unlimited texts and calls plus 1gb of data for £24 so a happy man

It's nearly killing me waiting until the end of my contract to wait to ask for my PAC, but i'm determined! Does anyone have any experience of getting any deals on 12 month contracts rather than 24? Happy to pay more per month but i HATE 24 monthers!

Just spoken to "upgrades" (got transferred through when asking for PAC).

They said vodafone don't do 12 month contracts really and that because the S3 is such an amazing phone I won't want to upgrade after a year anyway because phones won't improve that much in the future...

12 months... £29 for black S3 600 mins, unlimited texts, 500mb data, £43 a month

Called yesterday as current half price Sim only deal coming to an end. I had;

600 mins
3000 text
500Mb internet

for £10.25

Was offered;

300mins
Unlimited texts
500mb internet

For £10.50

Turned it down and asked for PAC.

Today I received 2 calls from Retentions which I couldn't take as I was at work.

They phoned again at dinner time asking for "feedback" after requesting PAC. Asked if I had been looking at other deals and why i wanted to leave. Told them it was a mix of a bit ropey signal at home but that the data was too low as I had not bought an iPad and may want to tether it.

Was offered;

600 mins
Unlimited texts
500mb internet but would add another 500mb for free to make it 1gb.

This would be at £10.25 so I said ok.

Putting through the deal, he said he had made a mistake and couldn't add 500Mb for free but what he could do was add an extra 1gb for free making it 1.5gb.

So said yes. He then said he would send a Vodafone Sure Signal for free for accepting their offer.

I'm happy with this - never use anywhere near 600 minutes.
