Can somebody explain to me what this price plan means:
CTRA150+50%EM+VP+18M
I've just spoken to Vodafone to get my £15 (225min/100sms) 1month Sim Only down to £9.99, however my account used to say:
SIMOCTRA225+100texts 30D
However it has now changed to the above.. Dont want less minutes or tie in for 18 Month or anything silly like that..
Edit: I'll update this myself.. The B%$£rds put me on a 12 month contract without letting me know I was entering into a 12month contract (used to be a 30 days contracts).. Its now been cancelled and Im off to one of the cashback sites to get some cashback. ;-)0 -
anyone managed to blag a deal this way:
I have been on an sim only deal for about 2 months now at £15 a month. Have requested my pac code and have recived it.
I have had this about 5-10 days now and have had numerous calls from vodafone on there 0808 number most of the time I have not managed to answer the call. I answered once they said they could not do nothing for me, The 2nd time I was looking to get a phone on an 12 month contract for the same deal at £15 a month possibly the Sony Ericsson C902 but as I was on hold I was cut off so I dont know wether they would do an deal for me.
As I am onl sim only and only been with them for 2 months what kind of deal should I be asking for? Any advice would be of great use to me.0 -

They initially offered me £12.50 when I rang to ask for the PAC - no mention of a 12month contract, so not sure if it was 1 month or not..0 -
My wifes phone that she uses for her job is expiring on July 16th, so I phoned to revise. She was on a £40 500 minute tariff from a phones4u cashback ( fully paid ) but she needs to keep the number and this is very tricky if not impossible to do with another cashback.
So upgrade - well downgrade really.
Without and trouble she gets a new Nokia 6300 ( off to ebay with that ) 225 mins and 250 texts for £12.50 a month - 12 month extension. So £150 for year less the £60 ish from ebay or cex means she will only pay about £7.50 a month and no cashback to worry about, and she keeps her number
Happy bunny on that....0 -
I just did the whole PAC request thing and got a new N95 8GB to go with my existing Anytime 75 Stop The Clock with 150 minutes, 100 texts, and rollover for £16 a month.
very pleased.0 -
I don't seem to be able to beat VF down on this one... I tried for the SE C602 as mentioned on this thread, but they would have none of it! The only offer they will give me is:
500 mins + 100 texts - 12 month - SE 770i or Nokia 6300 = £15 per month
I'm literally on the last couple of days until my PAC expires... should I take it?0 -
Id jump at the above offer, sell the 6300 on fleabay and youve got 4 months free, making it effectively 10/pm
Im also having problems, the only thing they will offer me is 1/2 price line rental (17.50pm) for 9 months of a 12 month contract (35 thereafter), without a handset.
I think this is a particualrly poor offer, especially considering I ran up two phone bills of £250 earlier this year and frequently go over my monthly spend. I was expecting something like a 500mins/100texts for £10pm on an 18month contract, but even on a longer time theyd only offer 25/pm, again with the first 9 months 1/2 price.
I havent sent in my PAC code request yet, is this likely to boot them into action?? These are poor poor offers, especially considering theyre without a handset.0 -
Well I've caved in. I took the deal I posted above with free delivery and a Bluetooth headset. The sales guy sounded very happy about it so I was obviously rubbish at negotiation! :rolleyes:0
