Vodafone Retention Deals
Comments
-
My contract ends on 8th Sept. So far I have had 2 calls asking me to upgrade, but they only offer 18 month contracts and can't beat the deal I'm on now.
I currently have 750 mins + 500 txt (12month) £17.50 for first 10 months then £35 for last 2.
Any ideas on what I should do. I've been with them for about 4 years and managed every year to get a good deal. I thought they would have offered something good as for the last 6 months my phone bill has been at least £80 month:eek:
I think I want Nokia N95 8 gig, but not sure as there are suppose to be better ones on market-apparently
Any help is gratefully appreciated:j
Upgrade department will never offer a good deal. Only retentions department can offer good deals.

I second that. The person I spoke to at Vodafone yesterday told me never to bother with upgrade department. Dial 191 and go through to the "thinking of leaving or need your PAC code" department - number 2 I think.0 -
OK, so I just got a call from retentions (08080000133) a day afer requesting my pac code. They offered me a smaller discount than the 50% off I know I could have got from new connections. The woman didn't seem that bothered when I told her this so it was left at that with my pac code due shortly.
I was wondering if anyone has received a second call from retentions if a first call came to nothing?
I'm not overly bothered if it doesn't come and I have to port my number to another network and then rejoin Vodafone as a new customer. As I've mentioned before at least I get free trials for TV, internet and 3 months insurance. Not to mention £50 RAF for my dad.0 -
I've been offered this deal:
Free Samsung Tocco
600 x mins
unlimited text
unlimited mobile internet
12 month contract
£25 per month
I thought it was a good deal but said I wanted 24 hours to think it over.
Do you think I could do better?0 -

retentions - coz they were following up on my PAC request. Still got the PAC code too =0)
Was thinking about asking for the value TV package thorwn in0 -
have you tried negotiating with them. eg ask them to give for £20 or just pretend you have seen similar deal with 02 so if they wont give you'll go to 02. Make sure you mention 02 as they'll wanna keep you rather than lose you to another rival0

did negotiate the deal but will go back and try for more tomorrow =0)
Gonna try for Mobile TV (Value pack) and stop the clock. Plus try and get the monthly charge down. Just not sure how far I can push them?0 -

It seems quite standard that no matter how good a deal you get they will chuck in a bluetooth headset, car charger and delivery. However, it'd also be helpful to know if anyone out there has had any luck (or not!) getting other extras like insurance, International Call Saver, memory cards etc..0 -
After my fiasco with them last week I got a call from retentions offering me a Samsung Steel, 112 mins and 250 texts £15pm. Received it on Tuesday but after reading about the deals other people get I've decided to return the phone and go elsewhere. When I called returns they offered me £20 credit to my account or 150 mins and 500 texts for £20 pm. This doesnt seem like a very good deal, Orange have 200 mins and unlimited texts for the same price.0
