Vodafone Retention Deals

I have just entered my upgrade period on Vodafone.
I wanted the Nokia N95 8GB, but they wanted to charge me between £120-£205 for the phone, due to the tariff I am on.
I followed the steps on the site about haggling etc, and managed to get the Nokia N95 8GB on the same tariff for £10 (TEN POUNDS)
What a result and thank you for the help form your site.

Do you think I can ring them on that number? I no longer have my voda mobile as I have an iphone 3g. I think my contract ends end of September sometime so I need to ring them up, pay the outstanding and then put it in writing???Vomityspice wrote: »I've just have a call from Vodafone (08080000133) as I had requested my PAC on the 19th June (I have already sent my letter canceling as from the 19th July).
I was asked why I was leaving and I told them it was because I would be purchasing an Iphone (3g). The women then went on to ask if there was any other phone I would be interested it, and I told her no. Strangely she made no attempt to pitch anything (it might have worked? although I am set on getting an Iphone)
Just need my PAC and I can jump ship.
To be fair to Vodafone, they have provided excellent service to me, it's just they can't offer an Iphone......Illegitimi non carborundum.0 -
i had a misse call the other day, they havent called back. oh the wait!0

they phoned me again tonight but i was driving so could not batter, so i will have to see what they can offer tomorrow0
-
wow, you've done really well
I phoned to day as my contract ends in a few days
was offered a selection of phones but after a lot of research decided N95 is best for what I want
they said would be £150
rang back, spoke to retentions and they've come down to £95, and i dont want to pay that when so many other companies do it free
have requested my pac code now and should come in about 5 days, so seeking out best deals now- so confusing!
really miffed, have been with Vodafone for 6 years
I would have thought that with the N96 due anytime they would have done a deal

When renewing their contracts has anyone been offered, or asked for, an additional line on their account with the same terms as their retention deal?0

Another happy retentions customer. What are the details of the deal they gave you?pennypincher61 wrote: »yayyyyy !!!!!

I rang them too.
Pushing for a LG Viewty in Red 500 mins 500 texts and unlimited web for £20 on a 12 month contract. They said they would do it on an 18 monthone but not 12 so I told them to talk to their boss and call me back when you can before I go elsewhere.
They will give in. They dont really care about 18 or 12 they just need you to stay.
I tried the Viewty in the shop and its got everything I need. Not as Swanky as I phone but that £45 a month on a 18 m contract, or £35 and pay £100 for it. Save the monthly money.
The N95 is just to big and offers far more than I need , Its to much a work phone.0
