Vodafone Retention Deals

In the letter that comes with a PAC they invite you to call the number 08080 600682 for an "even better deal". Has anyone ever phoned them or know if they offer the same type of deals as the retention department? I can't imagine that when Vodafone are that close to losing someone they are just inviting you to call standard upgrades.0

Hi Jimgee
150 mins ( cos I never use the 200 I have currently) 500 texts, 500mb browsing £30 a month 18 months
I'm very happy, and really didnt want to leave Vodafone, customer service has always ben great and coverage is brill

:rolleyes:0 -
The deal retentions have offered you is worse than their standard tariffs. If you phone up sales for an N95 they will give you 200 mins 1000 texts and unlimited internet for £30 a month for 18 months. If you choose another phone (which I would do anyway) then you can take your pick of any tariff at 50% off for 15 of 18 manths - which would mean £15 p/m for your curent tariff.
The deal mollypup got last week for £22.50 on a 12 month contract gives you a good idea of what they can offer. Also bear in mind that the N95 will be replaced with the N96 in a few weeks so if you have your heart set on this phone then September will be the time to get it for deals.
If you're happy I guess that's all that matters but if I were you I would cancel and see what they say - even if you have no intention of leaving. Best of luck if you give it a go.0 -
no, I'm happy...
same price I'm currently paying for just 200 mins & 500 texts, so much better, I dont need anymore than 500 texts and 500mb browsing is plenty as I have a pc and a laptop and only need it for accessing work emails when out and about
I'm sure I could have got better deal with a different phone, but N95 has all the features I want, for example I could have had a blackberry, but no 3G one available and cameras arent all that and need something quite work orientated, and sat nav will be handy on the 95.0 -

are you sure ?
just been looking at their site and cant see this, or would have used this to barter first time..
if you can find the link could you post it, as I'm thinking now maybe the extra texts would be handy for my son when he runs out...!

I phoned vodaphone retentionsd and asked for 2 x N95 8GB for Mrs GG and me. They wanted £210 per phone!
We pay £25 per month per phone and we've been with them forever but now we're going to O2. As a Dial-a-phone customer, I 'recommended' myself and bagged 2 x £40 bonuses, 2 x free N95 8Gb phones, twice as many texts and 150% more XNet minutes. Still around £25 per month each.
There are probably better deals out there but life's too short.

I'm looking for a Vodafone 30 contact SIM only with unlimited internet and as many minutes/texts for the lowest price. I'm coming to the end of my 18 VF contract which is £15 a month.
Any ideas?0 -
Currently the part of the account I'm looking at is paying about £23/month to Vodafone, for 1000 texts, and 125 minutes. This was last renegotiated about 19 months ago, and came with a Samsung e900.
I'm now looking for UNLIMITED texts, 600 minute (as is common), UNLIMITED internet (a £5 bundle) and the N95 8GB.
Don't really want to pay anything for the N95, nor drop the internet bundle, otherwise I may as well not have a phone with such good internet features!
Reckon it's possible to achieve?0
