this still works....Had £10 credited to my PAYG handset.
To be honest i was quite a heavy user on PAYG with voda, spending about £40 per month in all...But alas for the last 5 months have been minimal usage.
£10 for a 6 min call aint bad..

found this thread yesterday while looking around for mobile deals so took advice & asked to cancel contract which had come to an end months ago they asked why am i leaving i said for a better deal so they offered a new lg secret for £20 per month with 100 mins & 50 texts though they wanted £45 for the phone i said i will pass. They rung back today & offered same deal for 17 a month & free phone & delivery & the usual free insurance for 3 months & 1 month free internet thought that was a good deal
thanks for the advice

I had another call today and they told me i can only get 9 months discounted line rental as nobody can get 12months or 18months. Told him he was talking poo as i recently got 18months at £25 for 750xnet.
Dont know why they spew so much rubbish as if we will sign up there and then0 -
Had another call today and they were trying to charge me £200 for the N85 8GB. He said something about you wont get good deals towards the end of the month0

Maybe it's because of my heavy discounted bill for the pass 12 months but they don't seem to be flexible as before. I'm going to wait until my PAC has expired before trying again, but I'm not expecting anything good.0

Any advice on what my next move is guys. I have a cancellation date for 13th July and I have'nt had a single call from the mysterious outbound dept. I don't really want to leave Voda as we have really good reception (orange is poor) My package of 200 xnet mins and 250 txts, stc and roll over for £12.50 is good value but we do need a new phone. How should I now play it ?0

No advice really, I've been with them 4yrs, got my phone call after a few days.
I was adamant I wanted N85, was offered various others, which woman tried to convince me were better.
I refused first deal, accepted second and it suits me and I got the phone.
Good luck0 -

If they do call you and they offer a great deal that you are happy with, you could accept it there and then.
But if you still feel aggrieved at any poor deals they are offering you and there are only a few days left of your contract try this number:
0808 0600682
It is the number of the "Vodafone Dedicated Winback Team" or something like that. I got the number from someone else on MSE Forums. They sorted me out with my deal and i think they are the team to call for the best and final deals, as they possibly are the only ones with the 'power' to offer them. Good luck!
Ring them more than once if you wish and each time just tell them that you are not happy with what you have previously been offered and you will therefore be leaving Vodafone. I actually rang them twice. I rejected their 'first' offer, then rang them back after a few days and accepted their 'second' offer. The 'second' offer was obviously better than the 'first' one0 -
I rang to request my PAC number a couple of weeks ago. I've been a Vodafone customer for almost 10 years on the same tariff Anytime 100 £15 pm (100 xnet minutes + 50 texts). In that time i've only had two phones - the last about 3 years ago so i'm well outside of my fixed contract period. Recently I have started to exceed my inclusive text allowance.:undecided
They asked why I was leaving and I said I had seen better deals elsewhere and I might as well take advantage of them. As a result they made the following offer
Nokia 6300 phone
150 minutes + 500 text for £12.50pm
OR
200 minutes + 1000 text for £15 pm
OR
600 minutes + unlimited text for £17.50 pm
Whilst I think the tariff offers are pretty good i'm not impressed with the phone they've offered. Any advice?0 -
