Vodafone Retention Deals

Just thought il add what was offered to me today by Voda:
Sent my cancellation letter requesting PAC code and they called today offering the following deals:
250mins + 100 txt @ £10pm 12 month contract with either Nokia 6300 | Nokia 6124 | SonyErric K770i.
All options with free next day delivery.
My dad was offered the same as above but with 500mins and 250txt @ £10pm.
I was happy with 250mins as my average monthly usage over the last 12 months was under 200mins.
So anyway I went for the Nokia 6124 and K770i as I have 2 lines (mine and wifey).
They do seem quite keen to keep existing customers though. It just depends how far you want to stretch them iguess.0 -
I have just joined Vodafone on the £15 SIM only contract, its only a 30 day contract.
While I was awaiting my SIM in the post, I noticed Voda have a £20 SIM only deal at 500 mins plus Unlimited texts. I asked Voda over the phone if I could upgrade to that and the guy suggested I wait till I receive the SIM card (which was yesterday) and negotiate a better deal under the 14 days.
Has anyone tried this? So this is my first day with Vodafone and I'm suggesting trying to get a better deal whilst in the 14 days?0 -

Hi Jazzy639,
I'm in a similar position.
I ordered the £20 per month sim only deal, 500 Anytime X Network Mins and Unlimited Texts however, the deal has changed again and Vodafone now offer 600 Anytime Mins and Unlimited Texts although not advertised on the Vodafone website the 600 Any Network Mins is available via telesales and the vodafone shops. It was also advertised within the Scottish Sun newspaper on Thurs 3 July 2008.
I spoke with an advisor at the e-sales customer service department who confirmed that the 600 Any Network Mins £20 per month tariff is available but its a mistake on the vodafone website and that I should call her when I receive the sim card and she would change the tariff for me.
I also signed up through Quidco and received £90 cashback (After 4 months on the 30 day contract)

Have you got your SIM yet and have you spoken to Vodafone to change your tarrif? I too knew it was 600 mins, someone confirmed this over the phone yesterday.0 -
I went through CahbackKings for £90, Quidco were only offering £45. Are you saying you get the cashback after being with them for 4 months?

Yeah, It states on the Quidco website that the cash back is payable after the sim has been connected for 4 months or longer.
I spoke with Vodafone e-sales customer services this afternoon who told me that i should receive the sim card by Monday or Tuesday next week and then to give them a call to have the tariff altered....Might try the 14 day cancellations route as well though as they might give a better deal..hmmm :rolleyes:0 -

I'm waiting on hold at the moment in the 14 day returns department: 191 then option 4.
Will post my results
EDIT: Off phone, said SIM only can't be reduced further, whats available is whats available. Might request a PAC and move to o2: £15 for 200 mins, 400 texts, unlimited o2 minutes. Then again, I want my £90 cashback!0 -
could u let me know weather you get anything extra as I am currently on the simplicity sim card with o2 but thinking of moving but have to wait and give 30 day notice unfortunetly!0

called voda - said i was sticking with my n92i. offered to reduce line rental by 50% for 12 months (500 mins, 250 txt)
called them back at 7.58 to try and cancel the upgrade, at 8pm the guy said "wait a min", left me hanging on for 10 mins, then i get put through to somewhere who says, "the cancellations dept closes at 8pm and everyone has gone home"
The height of unprofessionalism.0 -
I'll wait until I get my sim card and give the cancellations dept and call, will post my results next week.
Been advised the sim card should be with me Monday or Tuesday.0 -
this deal is extremely good in my opinion but I would enjoy a phone which I will try and get for the same price!0
