, for 'pre ordering purposes' is listed at £56 a month on my account per handset, but the guy I spoke with assured me this was a ruse purely for pre ordering. The actual cost to me will be £26 a month per handset

Hi...
Thanks for taking the time to set my mind at rest
The guy I spoke with said all will be confirmed after delivery, or at the latest the discount and monthly cost of £26 per handset will become clear when the next monthly bill is due/paid (by DD) !
How soon was it apparent to you that they were being good to there word?
Thanks again,

if i remember rightly it was after delivery and i checked the online account and it had my account showing as £26 per month...certainly by the time i had my next bill it was showing correctly...0 -
At the minute i can tell you vodafone will offer up to 40% off the termination fee maximum amount if you then upgrade with vodafone. also a 25% off the contract price for 24 months. So if your not far to go might be worth remember that.
30% maximum for a straight disconnection but difficult to get that without voda being at fault. They are only allowed to charge 78% of the fee maximum and cannot pressurise you to pay the term fee there an tha
can be put onto next bill.
Any questions feel free to ask. Someone who isnt me knows alot.debt free wanabeee0 -
Hi all, I contacted Vodaphone deals on Twitter because my contract was up and asked for a deal on the Samsung Galaxy s2 and this is what they offered over a 18 month term.
Minutes: 600
Texts: Unlimited
Data allowance: 1GB
Monthly line rental cost: £36.00
This deal is the same as my old package but over 18 months instead of 24. I tried to get a better deal and he offered the same deal as above for £26 per month over 24 months.
Should I take it?0 -
Slightly cheaper to take the deal over 24 months....but that then pushes your minimum committment just that bit further too...
Personal preference I guess.
I'm only commenting on the deal that you've been offered, as I'm not sure whether you'd get better as a new customer using a cahsback site like TCB or Quidco - might be worth investigating though.0 -
It's been just over a week now since I requested my PAC and was given the below deal:
Samsung Galaxy S2
1200 Mins
Unlim texts
500 MB data
BT Openzone
£26 x 24
As I mentioned previously, I fought (maybe a bit TOO hard) to keep Stop the Clock on my account and the guy I spoke to said there was no point continuing the conversation as I was asking for something he was unable to give. I haven't heard from them since! Any ideas what I can do to get another call from Retentions?
Also, I came across this webpage on Vodafone's website concerning Stop the Clock. Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't see anything on here to suggest I can't keep it on my account?0 -
Oh
not letting me post links due to being a newbie - anyone who is interested in reading the page I'm talking about, go a Google search for Vodafone Stop the Clock and select the third link on the list

Look at a previous post of mine regarding the deal they offered you - #4018 - http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.php?p=51751233&postcount=4018 .
Stop The Clock - that is now ancient history.

I have been with Vodafone since mobile phones were the size of a decent housbrick. Due to pressure of work it was only this week that, on looking at my account online, I discovered that my contract (HTC desire) ended in December! My fault I know, but I was surprised that they hadn't bothered to contact me in the meantime as I was always likely to find out that, in effect, I was paying over the odds for the last three months.
So I emailed asking for my PAC code and they have now sent it back...no call trying to keep me, nothing. So, off to another network, just not sure which one yet. Shame really as I was likely to have stuck with them again.0
