  • Phone them and ask for your Pack code.Give them a couple of days and they'll phone you back with a good offer.Only the retentions team can offer you a good contract(no good going to the shop).
  • Hello people.

I'm coming up to Upgrade time with Vodafone for one of my three monthly contracts. The contract up first is a special online offer which was a Sim only deal made up of 900 anytime xnet minutes, 3000 texts and 250mb data all for £10 a month on a 12 month contract.

Just looking to find out if anyone else on a similar sort of sim only deal had any luck in carrying on at the same rate/allowance or if it was a case of once you hit 12 months it shot up to the alternative price of £20 odd?

    Thanks.
  • Hey, just thought I'd share the deal I managed to get with Vodafone Twitter team. My upgrade date changed from early March to April 20th but they said they would honour it and after debating whether to go for the Galaxy S2 or try for the HTC One X I finally settled for-

    Free White HTC One X
    600 mins
    Unlimited texts
    1gb internet
    Vodafone passport
    £26 for 24 months.

Not too shabby a deal I think.

Can I ask did you get a call from the retentions team but then went to vodafone twitter? Or did you go direct to the twitter? Also, stupid question, but how do you contact the twitter team?

    TIA

I just went straight to the Twitter team. I don't know if they have as much authority as the retention team to offer discounts etc but they defo offer better deals than instore and upgrade team. If you have Twitter just send them a tweet at @VodafoneUKdeals then they will give you a reply with a link to email them and they will give you a call.

What is the general consensus in regards to decent upgrade deals with Vodafone these days?

Im at the end of a 2 year contract (ends 24th Apr). I pay £13 a month for txt and minutes. No data. I rarely go over my includes txt/mins.

I am good at negotiating although....I phoned up retentions last week as I was interested in a deal on t mobile and wondered if it could be matched. I almost mentioned quidco cashback (an extra £70)

    Free HTC Desire S
    mins 50, texts 250, 750 MB
    P/M £15.50

And the vodafone offer wasnt even close and there wasnt even a feeble attempt to try and match it.

I had every intention to sign up for the T Mobile deal on that weekend but found an even better deal with Talk Mobile for £20 and along with pondering the two deals I got distracted and ultimately forgot.

    TLDR..

If I've found a deal with a rival company, that I'm happy with, shall I go for it or is it worth waiting 2 weeks to deal with Vodafone retentions?

Try the twitter team. Many seem to be having more luck with them.

My wife was on a sim only deal at £20.50 for 900 mins, 3000 texts & 500mb data.

just tried retentions for an upgrade or a cheaper sim only again and been offered Nokia Lumia 800 for free, 900 mins, "ultd" txts with 500 data and bt openzone for £24.00 for 24 months.

    Any good?
